Oh my goodness… what a night! ✨

My very first Gold Coast Music Awards — and one I’ll never forget. I’m still in shock that I took out the People’s Choice Award! Thank you to every single one of you who took the time to vote. Your support means the world.

Huge congratulations to Haystack Mountain Hermits and Fake News — such incredible nominees to stand alongside.

The People’s Choice Award was extra special this year, presented as a unique art piece created by artist Richard Scott and assisted by @biancaallicee . What an honour to receive something so meaningful. Thank you for the nomination @jodisattvamusic 🥰 and the nudge @rick_hollis_guitar_nerd

I was also a finalist for Artist of the year which was taken out by the talented @beckahamani 🥇

Thank you to the entire Gold Coast Music Awards team and my friends and family for an unforgettable evening. 💛

It’s so heartwarming to see the love still being shown for my album Strike to Ignite! ❤️🔥

Released July 31, the album is currently charting on the Australian Blues and Roots Airplay Charts at #5! 🎶🙌

A huge thank you to all the radio presenters and programers who have been playing the album and helping get Australian original music out there. Your support means the world! ❤️ 🎸🤘

Haven’t got your copy yet? There are still some vinyl records and CDs available if you’d like to add a signed on one to your collection! 💿🎶

Thank you to everyone who has listened, shared, requested a song or supported this album in any way. Independent music takes a village, and I’m so grateful to have you all along for the ride! ❤️🙏

Lecia Louise and her band - on the Boss Hire Blues Stage, Gympie Music Muster 2026.

Lecia always attracts top class players, and this was no exception. The band for this gig was -

Lecia Louise: guitars and vocals
Darran Muller: drums
Chris Pearson: bass
Andrew Szumowski: keys
Seamus Butler: violin (special guest for a couple of songs).

They played a ripper set of rock, blues, Americana, psych rock, and soul. Fabulous gig!💥🎶

Lecia is heading over to Memphis (US) as a solo artist to represent the Blues Association Of South East Queensland (BASEQ) at the Memphis International Blues Challenge in January next year. Catch her whenever you can as she plays some gigs and raises funds to help pay for the Memphis experience.
