What are your favourite memories with (your) dogs? I'd love to know in the comments (including photos since I now have the option!!) 🫶🥹

One of mine with Marcel is him stepping in as the ring bearer for Rebecca and Michelle (pic 1) and getting to photograph their wedding day! 🤩

Making a life and memories (and photographing/editing those of my couples) has kept me so busy lately that I missed International Dog Day 🫣 however I think dogs should be celebrated every day (who agrees) so here a few of the favourite memories I photographed!

With a reminder to make those memories but also capture them with your phones or cameras... and that I'd love to discuss photographing them (so you're all in the pictures 😉) in London, the UK and EU so do message, email or Whatsapp me to discuss your 2026 or 2027 wedding or photo session!!

Happy Friday everyone! Here are the past few days in a nutshell…

I had 3 “firsts” earlier this week, nearly 5 weeks after my emergency spinal surgery:
- 1st time playing with a toy again
- 1st time kicking up leaves after watering the grass
- and 1st time telling Papa off when he said the walk was over (got to remind the help who is calling the shots sometimes 😉).

I also made sure the physio’s rucksack was clean of treats and can now stand on my own a few minutes for my meals, IVDD can’t take the foodie out of me 🤭

The hair on my back is also growing back, and so so so soft… anyone fancies touching it? 😉

Whilst we have a long way to go and must not lower our guard, the good days are starting to outweigh the bad ones, i’m even allowed a couple of minutes walk without the sling, on grass…

Your support and love and cheering is appreciated more than ever. It helps us not give up and the humans be less anxious ❤️

One day you celebrate your 13th birthday... and the next you wake up high, with a major organ missing, the worst hair cut ever exposing your bits and a vet bill that means you'll have to ration treats for a few months... 🥴

The health update we've been meant to tell you all about for six weeks... a week before my barkday, the ultrasound I was having every few weeks - to monitor the nodule that Sylvain @dr_shawa_vet found accidentally on my spleen in March (during my trip to France and Switzerland and a routine visit) - revealed that the mass (which was initially found to be benign and shrinking), had started to grow and change shape... Since I was in good general health and those splenic tumours will rupture eventually (at which point the outcome is much poorer) a decision was made for me to have elective surgery (splenectomy) to remove the spleen and biopsy to see if those changes meant something more sinister than the initial diagnosis.

It was not deemed an emergency but the vets happened to have an opening a few days later - the morning after my birthday so I was brought in with less than an hour to make the decision and be at the surgery. The surgery went as smoothly as it could in the words of the fantastic team that operated on me and I was back home the same day. There's been some hiccups since and the anxiety that Maman did not have time to have before the surgery hit after and since... but we're hoping to put this behind us soon.

Within hours I was demanding to inspect the groceries, demanding treats (as a compensation for the terrible haircut) from the vets during check ups, and within a week we had the good news that the mass was still benign (which means that the surgery is considered curative) but was possibly heading in a much less positive direction (the vets also said it was a good thing it was removed when we did as it was "a ticking time 💣"). by @lecorgi

ᵃᵈ Why did the wheat get promoted? Because it was on a roll 🌾🤪

@purinauki invited the down-to-earth food and nature lover that I am to Bedfordshire, to visit one of the 110 wheat farmers they support (through Landscape Enterprise Networks) as those farms adopt regenerative agriculture practices, and I’m taking you all on le tour with me!

Why does it matter? Regenerative agriculture practices can help improve soil health and biodiversity, and create more resilient farms for the future…

Through this programme, Purina is helping support a more sustainable food system for pets and the people who love them. Healthy soil is the foundation of thriving farms, supporting the growth of cereals and vegetable proteins which are an excellent source of essential and beneficial nutrients for our pets. Beyond providing for farms and their crops, healthy soil helps surrounding landscapes and wildlife thrive.

During my visit, I was given a behind-the-scenes tour with farmer Claire and got to witness regenerative farming in practice - through live demonstrations showcasing its impact on farming, soil health and biodiversity, and Maman and I had the chance to explore the farm and experience its biodiversity firsthand.

We also learnt about the small actions we can take at home that can make a difference (see second to last slide). by @lecorgi

My July 2026 in pictures and videos... starting with very early or late walks in the shade due to the heatwave in England 🥵

Swipe left + check out the individual captions!

Which slide(s) is your fave and why? Any question about any slide? Let me know in the comments!

Marcel 🫶

Bumped into my buddy Woody the cardigan corgi... not too rusty for two senior corgs! 😉

Made a prickly fren...

Had two physio sessions to help with my IVDD and arthritis

Oh la la 😉 (got to do it to keep the views up at my age)

Woodland walks are our faves, back when it was still a bit green last month 😅

I visited my elderly patients twice with Maman in July, and celebrated 9 years of volunteering as a therapy visiting dog, played some games and got loads of cuddles 🥰

I discovered a new dog-friendly accommodation and wedding venue in Bedfordshire ahead of a new campaign I cannot wait to tell you all more about!

Thank dog for most services station now being dog-friendly in the UK... but a toilet selfie, Maman.... really!?! 🙄

Yes this is what you think it is, let's call it Christmas in July 🤣 also featuring part of Maman's collection of books by the creators we love!

Maman Aurélie @photobya4 cheated on me with Georgie and Bertie whose humans got married in July in an epic day... I forgave her only because the boys' Mama gave her treats for me! 😏

Loads of SOUS cheffing... surprised Gordon's not tried to hire me yet!

Maman is my main carer yet it's when Papa comes home that I get excited... who can relate? 😜

Have to put him back in his place sometimes though.... clearly didn't train him well enough 😉

More hydrotherapy... I corgi on!

And now a bath!?? My first proper one since last Autumn but still... le horror 🙄

Told you not to let me get wet now there's two of me! 🤣

Entering August 2026 with no idea of what's coming... so which slide is your fave and why? Let me know in the comments! by @lecorgi

I don't worry about getting older—I worry about getting wiser, but mostly just about the cake 😜

Bone anniversaire to moi, 13 years young today!! 🥳

{video description: Marcel, a senior Pembroke Welsh corgi dog with long red and white fur, is seen smiling at the camera with the word "Happy Birthday" written behind him on a green fence. His humans are on each side of him giving him a treat first, then placing black heart shaped sunglasses on his snout, then putting a yellow birthday hat on his head. He stands and moves towards the dog-friendly birthday cake made of venison paté and pumpkin frosting topped with grated cheese and candles forming the number 13 and starts to lick the cake very intently} taken in London, United Kingdom by @lecorgi

Flashback Friday... to one of the most beautiful experiences we had, sunset at @nationaltrust @ntdunwichheath Dunwich Heath (Suffolk) during peak heather season last August... an experience neither I nor anyone else in the next 25 years at best will get to enjoy again as it's all gone now due to a wildfire 💔

Life (like my legs) is short and our goal is to encourage you all to make the most of it whilst you can but PLEASE do it responsibly! 🫶

Our thoughts are with the people, animals and wildlife affected there and around the world A beautiful orange sunset scene with Marcel the long haired red and white Pembroke Welsh corgi smiling at the camera, sat among green plants and purple heather in the National Trust Dunwich Heath area of Suffolk, England. taken in National Trust Dunwich Heath by @lecorgi

Flashback Friday to when I attended the Jorvik Viking Festival in York, in 2018...

You may be 13 now but... that 🍑 still brings all the treats to the yard!! 😉🥳

Bone anniversaire to one of my oldest mates, Bertie @cuthbertcorgi!

My June 2026 in photos and videos + original audio... 🏝️☀️☔️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🫶🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🍉🤪🥨 from Maman Aurélie @photobya4's birthday weekend in Scotland (more to come on this, maybe) to her cheating on me whilst in Alsace to capture a wedding (despite my having become the mascot of the newly relaunched Alsaciens de Londres association) and then trying to buy my forgiveness with treats... Dodgy haircut, bbqs, continuous efforts to keep IVDD at bay, stay mobile and sassy, and cool, to cheer people up at the hospital during my therapy visits (9 years of volunteering with Maman this July!), being an ally and supporting (or was it robbing?) dog-loving businesses...

GOOD BOI or BAD BOI? You decide!

With a PSA given the heat in the UK: DOGS WON'T D!E FROM MISSING A WALK OR TWO BUT THEY COULD FROM WALKING / EXERCISING IN THE HEAT!
