I am getting back to adding some oils in with acrylic today. I love playing around with the two together and how each one adds their own flow and depth. Linseed oil and modeling paste are often what I use for these more subdued texture pieces.
Happy creating. I hope the long weekend offered you a small window to reset or find some peace.

Hi there! I am 💯 absolutely free and new at posting my art. So welcome to all of my exciting mistakes, obsessions, discoveries, and off the beaten path style of posting. Creativity is freedom and with freedom comes wild women. I am looking forward to connecting with my people here!

Sharing a fun piece, “Compass”, that my beautiful friend @teresempaintings just purchased from me. With this piece I kept thinking of finding my way through a wave and perhaps a giant storm but all the while there was still color and brightness all around me. Which is life, yes?

Happy Sunday! It’s a gorgeous day in Ohio today! Excited to grab a few hours tonight to play. On tap: I have been pretty interested in this piece and how it wants to take form. It’s from my “Broken” series. Going to fill in the negative space with some watered down beige and see where it goes!
Wishing you a peaceful week!🤍

Such a fabulous rainy day in Columbus. What a great day to slow down. Quick art share. I am having so much fun with this piece and how it is evolving. Sometimes it is necessary to put a piece up on the wall for a good few days and listen to what it is telling you! I’ll wait until I hear some whispers and then skip back in to grab her!

“Valleys” is all about texture. I used burlap, wood shavings, and grated some charcoal so far. Definitely experimenting with more organic vibes and am obsessed!!

An older piece, “Broken”, which may need no explanation! But near and dear to my heart. Still not done with it, but leaving it be for now.

A work in progress! Layers and layers of color and strokes and stepping back and going back in to add more paint. Always fun fun fun! Excited to connect with this over the weekend!

I am drawn to arches and have been so interested in how much they keep showing up in my art. I am forever humbled to have sold this piece, “Letting Go”, a few months ago, and cherish how much it means to its new owner! 🙏🏻

This is still a work in progress, but have been overjoyed by the process with her so far. I love making mistakes within my creative art bubble and LOVE getting messy. It is exhilarating, scary, hilarious, and life changing for me! 🌟 Wishing you a perfectly messy day!
