Memory does not always
live in the past.

Sometimes it hangs on a wall,
catches the afternoon,
changes with the room
around it.

Art does not preserve
what was.

It keeps asking
what remains.

Outside, the air changes.

Inside, warmth becomes a place.

It settles on the skin,
slows the breath,
softens the distance
between the body
and everything it has been carrying.

Some journeys
do not require moving.

The landscape does not stop
at the door.

It enters quietly.

In the colour of the stone,
in the linen,
in the air left between
one object and another.

Some rooms contain a view.

Others contain the place.

October changes the direction.

The sea is still there.
The dunes still move.

But somehow,
the landscape begins
to feel closer.

Less like something to look at.
More like something
you carry inside.

The month ends.

The feeling doesn’t.

It stays somewhere small:
in the quiet after the sea,
in the soft warmth of the sand,
in the way you return
slightly lighter.

Some meals feel
like the end of a day.

Others feel
like the season
staying a little longer.

A quiet corner
can say more
than a perfect view.

Because sometimes
what you remember
is not what you saw,
but how little was required
to feel at ease.

The warmth stays
where words usually are.

In the skin,
in the breath,
in the quiet space
between one thought
and the next.

Here, stillness
becomes something
you can feel.

Some things do not pass
with the season.

They stay in the walls,
in the rooms,
in the silence between one guest
and the next.

Art, at Le Dune Piscinas,
is another form of memory.

There are hours
that belong only to September.

Not bright enough to impress,
not dark enough to end.

Just gold,
moving slowly
across everything.

Some rooms are made
for sleeping.

Others are made
for becoming less tired
of everything else.

Some water wants the horizon.

Some water stays close.

Held by stone,
softened by sky,
quiet enough
to hear the day
slowing down.

Here, blue does not move away.

It waits for you.
