Serenade a ballet I thought i’d never do🩵

So grateful to now be apart of the history that is this ballet. Could not have asked for better people or memories for my first experience of Serenade!🩵🩰🙌🏾 taken in McCaw Hall by @lee_in_dance

This moment is just one example of how easily pride can sneak into my life as a dancer. We strive for perfection but sometimes, underneath that desire for excellence is a desire to protect our image. I’m learning that humility means being okay with being seen as imperfect. I don’t want my identity to depend on always getting it right. This was a great reminder that I don’t want to look perfect. I want to look more like Jesus. 🤍🙏🏾
