Pride 2026 - Mental Health

To celebrate gay Pride in Ibiza, W Hotels asked local artist Lee Needham to create a bespoke artwork on the iconic W sign that explores Metal Health issues and represents the White Heat, Boho Beat ethos of the hotel.
Through the use of symbols and text thoughout the layers of the painting and embossed onto the form, we find a journey that explores overcoming depression, anxiety, loneliness and sadness through friendship, compassion, wellness, balanace and sprirtuality to find a peaceful expression of Love and happiness.

¨The piece is representitive of own jouney with mental health as a gay man. I chose this soft stone colour to
represent strength and calm, like a large stone monolyth. I´ve decorated the surfaces with text and symbols that represent my own explorations though meditation, therapy and wellness.
the peice aims to be both conversational and personal whislllst adressing the big universal topics around metal health. ¨
