A heartwarming new rural romance from a rising star, perfect for fans of Karly Lane, Maya Linnell and Rachael Johns.

What if you found the love of your life ... and then lost them?

Widow, struggling farmer and self-help author Indi Carmichael finds herself staring down the barrel of her spiralling debt. Her best friend is hell-bent on getting her back in the dating saddle, but with her son acting stranger than usual and a follow-up bestseller to write, Indi doesn’t have the time to fix the endless problems facing Manna Gum Farm, let alone for romance.

Washed up actor Ben Whittam worries about everything. Controlling his life means he can control his grief, and he doesn’t have to worry about any unscripted surprises. But with his anxious son’s nightmares getting worse and producers breathing down his neck, Ben’s summer filming on location in the small town of Kestrel Creek isn’t going to plan.

With Indi’s future on the farm hanging by a thread and Ben’s career on the line, is falling in love while their lives are falling apart really the best idea?

‘A sparkling debut, full of love and hope. I couldn’t put it down!’ Maya Linnell

I’ve been slowing down and reading a lot since handing in my proofreads. Most of them have been such incredible five-star reads, including these three beauties…👇

Happy Halloween! 🎃👻

Oh hey there… 👋 Now that there’s a few new faces around here, I figure it’s about time I reintroduced myself!

I’m Leearna, a rural romance author who writes heartwarming stories about determined women fighting for their futures—and falling in love along the way.

I’m a self-taught hobby farmer, my favourite colour is blue (sage green a close second), and I’d eat rice paper rolls with satay sauce every meal for the rest of my life if I could. I’m a rabid footy and basketball fan (Pies and Chicago Bulls all the way), a proud boy-mum of two teenage legends and obsessively inhale audiobooks during my 2.5 hour round trips in the car each day.

I’d love to know if we have anything in common, or even if we’re polar opposites! 😜

I couldn’t believe my luck when I spotted this calf being born as I drove down my street after school drop off yesterday morning! 🤩

I didn’t want to get too close but I just had to stop and watch. Proud Mumma was letting everyone know, baby was trying hard to find its legs and the horse was so fascinated by the whole thing it’s unintentionally become an aunt.

It’s giving A Farm in Golden Clouds vibes! I honestly couldn’t believe the timing, or how it felt as if I’d wandered straight onto Manna Gum Farm. 🥰

(In all seriousness, if you love wide open skies, farm animals and beautiful moments like these, my debut novel could be the perfect read for you. Check it out! 🫣😆)

And that’s a wrap! 🥂

The proofreads are done and on their way back to my publisher, and I can’t decide whether to dance around the living room, overthink every edit I made or sleep for a week. 🫠

Title and cover reveal coming soon, so watch this space!🐴🔥🌿

A sprinkle of audacity and a dose of delusion…👌

Coming home from a rough day at work isn’t so bad when you can stop and chill out with this lot… 🥰

Though they weren’t much help hyping me up for the six hours of proofreading still ahead of me tonight. Luckily, I love this book and can’t wait to share it with you. Living out all my childhood dreams with this one!🐴🌿✌️

My impeccable planning and organisation skills struck again when I booked a holiday with my family the same week my proofreads were due.

To be honest, it’s been a real slog. The views have been terrible. The warm weather is a real pain. Sipping Prosecco poolside at 3pm while I proofread has been beyond tough. Not to mention the dips in the pool between chapters… Those really pushed me to my limits.

But it’s all just part of the job, I guess. I’ll keep battling through over here like I always do, but please keep me in your thoughts. 😉
