It's absurd to think one can force another to love them through fear, that a government can legislate patriotism.

Do they themselves even believe it when these people tell them they love them? Yet, it is something dictators around the world obsess over. They have all the power, all the resources in their hands and the one thing that they will never have is the love of the people.

Deep down, they know this. No one in their right mind would love someone who holds them at gunpoint. by @leeb85565
