The Trashwomen!!

This underrated trio of babes formed together in the early 90s to play covers from the trashmens discography but they quickly grew a following in the surf rock/rockabilly scene. They started off as almost 100% instrumental but quickly grew to playing the distorted sleazy loud rock music that drew in their crowd. by @leech_archive

Ben Cooper inc (1937-1992) was one of the largest Halloween costume manufacturers in the US from the 50s-80s.

These costumes were an iconic symbol of Halloween, which contained inexpensive plastic masks and vinyl smocks. They were among 3 of the largest Halloween costume manufacturers, with one of their competitors being collegeville.

The company came to an end when they had to file for bankruptcy multiple times in the late 80s and the early 90s. They were no longer able to survive as an independent company and were bought by Rubies costume co. Which ended an era of Halloween.

(Some of the costumes being worn in some of the photos may be a mix of collegeville and Ben Cooper costumes)

LEAK - a underground Nola band (active from 1995/1998) that never got the recognition they deserved.

they are so underrated and imo deserve as much recognition as acid bath, crowbar, eyehategod.

Their album god hates the South has a lot of good tracks, my favorites being Soft head for bullets and green whore.

Virgil Finlay (1914-1971)

He was a pulp fantasy/Sci Fi/Horror illustrator and contributed so much to science fiction and fantasy from his artwork.

the intricate details in his artwork are so entrancing, almost feels like it has been lost in time.

Do you fuck with full blown AIDS?

There's not a lot of media on these guys and they weren't active for that long either, but the lineup includes Seth Putnam (of anal cunt)Paul Kraynak and Robert Williams. -and compared to anal cunt fast/ offensive tone, they have a more heavier and sludgier sound

I probably listened to it in its entirety 3 times today and I don't like many albums where I get that far in without wanting to skip a song, so if you haven't already, give full blown aids a try!! 💉💉💉
