We present to you a wooden bike!

Kidus made this from scratch. The majority of it is made from wood and natural materials. And it is now on a journey from John O'Groats to Dover.

It's not all drills, lasers and soldering irons at Leeds Hackspace.
Although, don't get us wrong, we love that stuff. But sometimes you just need something different. Like a board games afternoon, completing that Lego kit you've had on your shelf for a year or making some stickers!

Jess made herself a tail!

We have all sorts of bits and bobs in our craft area. Jess used our sewing machines to make herself a tail. And the ladies will understand the importance of this - it functions as a pocket!!

It's been Hack the Space Day!

This month we:
🪵 Tackled the wood storage area
🛠️ Worked on the CNC
🪚 Sorted some bits in the work shop
🧵Finished the shelving in the Craft Area
📷 Catalogued and inspected all the cameras
🖤 Tidied the dark room
💻 Looked through some of our laptops
🖥️ Built three computers
💃Socialised and had some fun

Thanks to everyone who came down to help. The space doesn't run without our members coming together and making it better ❤️

Tucked away in an industrial unit in Sheepscar, Leeds HackSpace might not look like much from the outside - just a blue ‘H’ on the wall - but inside lies a vibrant makerspace packed with tools, tech, and creativity. Whether you’re into 3D printing, circuit board repair, laser cutting, or sewing, this community-run workshop welcomes anyone with a passion for building, fixing, or learning something new.

On open evenings, the atmosphere buzzes with activity as people of all ages and backgrounds share skills, swap ideas, and work on everything from electronic art installations to handmade jeans. If you're looking for a creative tech community in Leeds or a friendly place to pick up new skills, Leeds Hackspace is well worth a visit.

You can visit Leeds Hackspace on Tuesday evenings from 7pm, or some Saturdays – just turn up and have a look around.

Did you know Leeds Hackspace had a Dark Room? These photos were taken by @mbksnaps and were printed at in the Space. Have a scroll, the last three photos are of the actual Darkroom.

This Saturday is Hack the Space Day! A day we clean, repair and improve the space.

All skills and abilities are needed. And if you are wanting to upgrade to 24hr membership it's a great time to show up and get stuck in.
