An oil painting of Robert Duvall that I did back in 1997 for my Dad. When I happen to see it, I remember both my Father, he seemed proud of this picture, and Mr. Duvall, whom we both admired playing Augustus McCray in "Lonesome Dove". Funny how a lot of my best memories of family revolve around watching TV! by @leeeezl

My sweet cousin, Scotty Allen, who is a whiz at painting cartoons, did this rock for me. I used to watch "Family Guy" with my brother Jonas Rieder. It was one of the last things we did together as adults, so I requested a scene from the Sherlock Holmes episode. Scotty gave it to me when our family reunited to say good bye to our Aunt Estelle & Uncle Bill at their memorial service in Nashville. I will always treasure it. ❤️ 🎨 by @leeeezl

With St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children – I just got recognized as one of their top fans! 🎉. Kenneth lived at St. Mary's the last months of his life. They helped him feel as comfortable as possible. He listened to his metal music, he got to bake as much as possible w Alex in the kitchen, recipes for donuts that he'd found. They let me live w Kenny. He was never alone. His friends could visit even odd hours, and he had the skilled nursing which his perilous condition required w/0 having to be tethered to a uncomfortable facility or travel outside of what became his comfort zone. So many people helped Kenneth live his last months in relative comfort and privacy. Many of the staff from the art director to physical therapists, psychologists, nurses, doctors, CNAs, etc. saw to it that he could enjoy as much stimulation, activities or rest that he needed or could tolerate, and have foods he liked right up until his last day on this Earth. His cats were able to visit him. They got him a trip to Laguardia to tour the restaurants and meet the chefs and have lunch. They arranged official transport for a young man who suddenly required a wheelchair and an aid, and a proper insured ambulance to go anywhere. Thank God for St. Mary's. I cannot fully express my gratitude for all they did for our dearest son and our family in those days of sudden terror, fear and the inevitability of parting in death. The pastors and priests visited, brought Communion and there was a chapel on site, full of the spirits of Jesus, the Blessed Virgin and those who'd lived at St. Mary's before we arrived. They remember every young person and child who has lived, and then died there with a service Each year. Each young person's name is read and a candle is lit by the family or the staff who cared for that child. Most of the wonderful staff serve each desperately ill child and tormented family with true care and respect. God bless St. Mary's. by @leeeezl
