My debut novel might be the next book added in your tbr list! Ascaron - Ad Vocatus, part. 1, is a dark fantasy following the adventures of Laelyah, Erdogan and Blaise, an uncommon trio in the world of Ascaron. #indieauthor #ascaron #bookstagram #booktok #bookpromotion by @leejpleimelding
#bookstagramfrance #viral #booktokfrance #darkfantasy by @leejpleimelding
These are some harsh truths. But I actually get to say it now: I published a book. 🥹🖤 No publishing team, no huge audience waiting, and absolutely no idea how many people will read it. But I wrote it. I finished it. And now it exists in the world. ASCARON — AD VOCATUS, Part I is officially OUT NOW. If you decide to give Laelyah, Erdogan & Blaise a chance… I hope you love them as much as I do. 🖤 Available now on Amazon — paperback & Kindle. #darkfantasy #indieauthor #selfpublishedauthor #fantasybooks #bookstagram by @leejpleimelding
🇬🇧🍂 OCTOBER READINGS Being an indie dark fantasy author comes with a rather funny contradiction: I actually try to avoid reading too much fantasy while writing my own novels. Not because I don't love it. Quite the opposite! After spending years building my own universe, I'm sometimes afraid of being unconsciously influenced by someone else's characters, ideas or writing style. So, I tend to escape into classics, philosophy, poetry and history instead. Although, every now and then, I make an exception. This month, it was Eragon, and I absolutely loved it! 🐉 October also brought me back to Balzac, gothic poetry and a few unexpected reflections on life. I suppose that's the beauty of reading: inspiration can come from the most unexpected places, even outside the genre we write. #octoberreads #bookstagram #readingwrapup #darkfantasyauthor #Indieauthor by @leejpleimelding

Some of us never really grew out of it. The feeling that somewhere, beyond the forests and mountains, there had to be another world waiting for us. I grew up wanting to find that world, and eventually, I realized I could write it instead... That's how I wrote my debut novel, a dark fantasy world of forgotten histories and people trying to survive. So, if you were the child who checked wardrobes and secretly hoped magic was real, I think you might feel at home in Ascaron... 🗝️ 📖 Available in paperback, Kindle & Kindle Unlimited with no extra cost! #FantasyBooks #DarkFantasy #IndieAuthor #Bookstagram #FantasyReaders by @leejpleimelding
Some stories are about saving the world. Others are about surviving it. 🖤 ASCARON: AD VOCATUS — PART I is officially available on Amazon! 📖 Meet Laelyah. She's not a chosen one, not a princess, and certainly not a hero. She's a young woman trying to stay alive in a world where freedom comes at a price, trust can get you killed, and even the people closest to you have secrets. Expect: ⚔️ Morally grey characters 🩸 Dark fantasy & brutal choices 🖤 Complicated relationships 🏰 Political intrigue & hidden agendas 🌙 A world where nobody is entirely innocent If you love dark fantasy with flawed characters, slow-burning mysteries, and a story that doesn't promise everyone a happy ending, you might want to give Ascaron a chance. Available now on Amazon in paperback & Kindle. 📚 🔗 Link in bio! #darkfantasy #indieauthor #fantasybooks #Bookstagram #booktok by @leejpleimelding

A little behind the scenes of writing a book on your own. 🍂📖 When I started writing *Ascaron*, I had absolutely no idea how much of my life this little (not so little anymore) project would take over. Over the years, I've collected notebooks, covered my walls in notes, spent ridiculous amounts of time reorganising plotlines, and listened to enough Hogwarts Legacy ambience to probably qualify as a resident of Hogsmeade. And somehow, I ended up holding an actual physical copy of a world that used to exist only in my head. 🥹 So I thought I'd share some of the little habits that helped me along the way, both with writing and with figuring out how to put my book out there as an indie author. I'm still learning, especially when it comes to social media and finding readers, but that's part of the fun (and occasional existential crisis). If you're writing a book, thinking about starting one, or just trying to find your people in the book community, I hope something in this carousel helps. 🤎 #IndieAuthor #WritingTips #WritingCommunity #AuthorLife #Bookstagram by @leejpleimelding

A little introduction because I've been posting about imaginary people without ever introducing myself! 🤎 Hi, I'm Lee! I'm a 24-year-old French girl who spends a concerning amount of time thinking about fictional kingdoms, and stories that refuse to leave my damn head... I've been making up stories for as long as I can remember, and this October, one of them finally became a real book. Still feels a little unreal, honestly! 🥹 So here's a little glimpse of the person behind Ascaron (and yes, my room really does have pieces of fictional mythology hanging from strings like laundry, I find it weirdly comforting)! I'd love to get to know y'all too! Where are you from, and what's one random fact about yourself? 👀 #MeetTheAuthor #IndieAuthor #FantasyAuthor #Bookstagram #booktok by @leejpleimelding
