bringing a little state fair magic to my kitchen 🎡🤎

crispy, golden ribbons of dough topped with powdered sugar and a drizzle of chocolate 😋 this takes me back to the early fall nights wandering around the @statefairoftx with powdered sugar all over my face 🫶🏽

For the batter, mix together:
- 1 cup flour
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla

Add the batter into a piping bag. If you don’t have one, ziplock bag works too! Just cut off one end.

In a deep pot, add in neutral oil and heat it up till it hits 350 degrees F. Drizzle the batter all around and let it fry for a minute or 2 on each side! Top with your favorite toppings! I topped mine off with powdered sugar and chocolate

celebrating the first day of October with these stuffed jack-o’-lanterns! 🎃🍂 giving stuffed bell peppers a little makeover 🫑✨

Stuffed Bell Peppers

Chop the heads off your bell peppers and take all the seeds out. Carefully cut out a pumpkin face with a small knife. Place the peppers in a baking tray, drizzle oil, sprinkle of salt & pepper, & bake in oven for 20 minutes at 400° F.

While bell peppers are baking, dice the bell pepper heads and an onion! On medium heat, sauté your veggies, add in your ground meat of choice, and season to your liking (I used taco seasoning)! Once the bell peppers are ready, stuff them with your meat & veggies & sprinkle some cheese on top! Bake in oven again at 425° for another 20-25 minutes. Enjoy 😋

fall deserves a little whimsy at the breakfast table 🧡 these pumpkin-shaped bagels are soft, chewy, and the cutest addition to a cozy fall morning. perfect with whipped salted butter and a warm cup of coffee!!

Bagels (makes 4 bagels - double for 8!)
Combine:
- 2 cups bread flour
- 1 tsp salt

Combine in a separate bowl:
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 TBsp sugar

Pour yeast mixture into the bowl with the flour. Knead for 10-15 minutes until a smooth ball shape. Cover and let rise for 1 hour. After dough has rested, divide it into 4 equal parts.

*For pumpkin shape*:
Cut at least 24 inches of twine and soak in oil. Place divided dough in the middle of the twine and cross twin, flip dough upside down, & cross twine again. Repeat 1-2 more times until you to make a pumpkin shape! Tie a knot and cut excess twine off.

Cover all 4 dough balls and rest for 15 minutes. While they are resting, bring a pot of water to a boil with some honey and pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Boil the bagels for about a minute each side and transfer them to a baking sheet. Brush with egg wash and bake in oven for 25-30 minutes. Let bagels cool down before carefully cutting away the twine! Stick a cinnamon stick or a jalapeño stem in the middle to really get the pumpkin look :)
