The term 'Scholē' in ancient Greek is the common root of both 'school' and 'leisure,' reflecting the belief that study and leisure are intrinsically connected. Inspired by this, we set out to create a chair that embodies this union. We wanted to create a stool that was simple and easy to make. The idea was: if we can sketch it on a small surface like a business card, it’s simple enough to build. During one meeting, we grabbed a card and started sketching. That quick sketch led to the concept of shaping both the seat and legs from one flat piece, which eventually became the Card Stool—an embodiment of simplicity and creativity sparked from a single card by @leemok.official

In the contemporary lifestyle, many people utilize our beds for more than just sleeping at night; they read, watch, and even work in bed. In this project, we aimed to cater to this evolving trend. We believed that the incorporation of partition and armrest designs would enhance the versatility of the bed, making it conducive to a variety of activities.Furthermore, two headrests can move independently, allowing users to personalize their experience based on their unique lifestyle preferences. This additional flexibility adds another layer of adaptability to the overall design, ensuring that the bed seamlessly adapts to the diverse needs of its users. by @leemok.official

We've had valuable opportunities to conduct furniture design workshops with industrial design major students at @kookmin.univ, hosting two sessions this year.
