I’ve been carrying this one around for a while.

Some songs sit quietly in the background until you’re finally ready to let them belong to someone else. This one feels like longing with the volume turned all the way up — all the things you don’t say, all the space between two people, all the emotion that somehow makes more sense inside a melody.

It feels strange letting it go.

But I think it’s time.

So much to say, so many empty pages, but the pen has run out of ink.

That’s when I sing.

There are things I could never explain in a conversation, feelings too tangled to fit neatly into words. But somehow, when I put a melody behind them, they make sense.

I’ve never been great at explaining exactly what I feel.

Sometimes words make things smaller than they actually are.

Music doesn’t.

A melody can hold sadness, love, longing, anger, hope — all at once — without having to explain any of it. It lets me reach into the parts of myself I don’t really know how to talk about and turn them into something I can actually hear.

I think that’s why I keep making music.

It’s the closest I’ve ever come to translating what’s going on inside me. by @leeoliveofficial

Sometimes it feels like the world used to be a little warmer.

Not literally, just… softer somehow. People talked more, stayed out later, showed up at each other’s doors, and things didn’t feel quite so distant.

Maybe it’s nostalgia talking. Maybe we just remember the good parts.

Either way, I think I’m always trying to find a little bit of that feeling again. by @leeoliveofficial

Been sitting on this for a minute and I’m genuinely so excited to finally start putting this music out into the world. It’s a weird feeling having something live in your head for so long and then suddenly knowing other people are about to hear it too.

Really grateful for everyone who’s been here early. This is only the beginning and I’ve got a lot more coming.

I’ve spent a long time making music quietly, writing songs, chasing sounds, scrapping ideas, starting over, and trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to say before I ever thought about putting any of it out into the world.

I think there’s something pretty vulnerable about releasing music. You can spend months living with a song by yourself, hearing it hundreds of times, changing tiny details nobody else will probably ever notice… and then one day you just have to let it go and let it belong to everyone else.

So I guess this is me finally doing that.

The music I’ve been working on lives somewhere between indie rock, alternative, late-night drives, loud guitars, quiet moments, heartbreak, falling in love too quickly, nostalgia, and all the things that are sometimes easier to put into a song than actually say out loud.

I’ve always loved music. Songs that aren’t afraid to be a little messy. Lyrics that sound like somebody actually lived them. Guitars that feel huge one second and completely lonely the next.

That’s the kind of world I want to build with Lee Oliver.

There’s a lot of music coming, and I’m genuinely excited to finally start sharing it with people instead of keeping everything sitting on a hard drive.

Some came together almost instantly, and others took forever to become what they were supposed to be.

But they all feel like me.

This is really only the beginning, and I have no idea where any of it will lead, which honestly makes it even more exciting.

If you find one of these songs at the right moment in your life, turn it up in your car, send it to somebody, cry to it, fall in love to it, scream the chorus with your friends, or just keep it to yourself for a while.

That’s more than I could ever ask for.

Really excited to finally put this music out there.
