Picture Day for the Perez FAMily 📸. Jeez, how time flies. 🥹 Some days I still have to scratch my head in disbelief that I’m actually a mom of three. Now a 7, 5, & 2yr old 🩷💙💙 Most days, I feel like I’m living in my dreams. Forever grateful that I get to grow my own little tribe of best friends. Watching them grow and sprout into who they’re becoming is the most beautiful feeling, yet so bittersweet. I need a little Lily Jade, Leo, and Levi right here by my side forever. 🤍 And then there’s my husband—the one I get to do all of this life with. I almost let mom guilt steal this night from me. 🥺

And then, right in the middle of having the best time, my baby needed me. My heart immediately went home. 💔

I was still his mommy from miles away. I comforted him, made sure he was okay, cried my own tears… and then reminded myself of something I think so many moms need to hear:

Being a good mom doesn’t mean I have to stop being me.

I can miss my babies and still have fun.
I can want to run home and still allow myself to stay.
I can be completely devoted to my children and still make memories that are mine, too.

Two things can be true. 🤍

They are my whole world.

But I’m allowed to be part of my world, too.

To the mom who feels guilty every time she does something for herself: you’re still a good mom. 🤍
