We asked audiences to sum up What Happens in the Dark after our LA shows and here’s what they said.

During the first week of Edinburgh Fringe (August 7-15th) we will be at theSpace @ Niddry St at 20:15-21:05 (8:15-9:05pm) before moving to different time slots for the rest of the festival.

I had so much fun with the Fantastic Four Parody Poster that I decided I had to do a few more today.

I know that Fantastic Four comes out this weekend...but guess what else comes out this weekend? What Happens in the Dark at the @electriclodge!

Skip the movie theater and support live theater instead! Crazily enough at only $15 it's less expensive to come to our show than to get a movie ticket these days 😂.

We're so excited to interview the creative team behind WHAT HAPPENS IN THE DARK, a door-slamming (light switch flipping?) bisexual farcical comedy where the lights are opposite. So when the lights are ON, they’re actually OFF. And when they’re OFF, they’re actually ON. Therefore the audience can only see the characters onstage when they are stumbling around in complete darkness. This convention opens the door to mistaken identity, physical comedy, and side-splitting chaos.

Throughout the Hollywood Fringe Festival we had so many people come up to us after the show to tell us that the story and themes meant something to them. This story is deeply personal, and it is so exciting to see that it has resonated within the LGBTQ+ community. Additionally, I am so proud to share that throughout the Hollywood Fringe Festival we raised $500 for the LA LGBT Center!

To every bisexual/pansexual person out there, we see you and you are valid! Being bisexual is still a part of your identity even if you are in a "straight-passing" relationship.

It's been 5 years since I have done any sort of theater and I genuinely thought my passion for it died during the pandemic. Luckily, I have incredible people in my life who encouraged me to bring back What Happens in the Dark (none more vocal than @berlin.hl) AND I discovered Hollywood Fringe (thanks to @probablyachameleon for that).

This community welcomed me with open arms and I have met so many incredible artists. In addition to producing, writing, and acting in my own show, I also got to see 30+ amazing pieces of theater this June.

Then to cap it all off, we raised a total of $500 for the LA LGBT Center, What Happens in the Dark was nominated for Best Comedic Theater, and we WON the StageCrafts Freeway Circuit Award, which means that the journey isn't over. We get to do What Happens in the Dark again July 26th and 27th at the Electric Lodge in Venice, CA!

The slogan of the Hollywood Fringe Festival is "theater isn't dead" and it turns out my passion for theater isn't dead after all. I just needed this festival to bring me back to life.

A huge thank you to our amazing cast @berlin.hl, @leepollero, and @andrew_puente for all of your passion and commitment.
