SOOOOOO! Today went better than I expected!
Only my second half marathon I’ve ever done and this time I had something’s I wanted to prove to myself.
First that I could do it without walking and second get a 15 min PB. Done both and to my surprise after thinking I only managed 10 mins ? I actually smashed whooping 35 mins off my Bristol hm last year. 😭 today I got 2hr 24min 🤯 I was so happy I’m not embarrassed to say I had tears of joy.
I Really put effort into my running this year and it payed off and has given me a fire in my belly. Thanks to @coachphilmataj for programming as always and for encouragement. And also my biggest supporter my wife @egle1826 for pushing me to get out and do my runs when I didn’t want to. You don’t know how good you are and you smashed your run without even training 🙄. This maybe easy to others but this proved big and I’m actually proud of myself for once which is rare. (peach thanks for being support crew 😘). Hyrox warsaw 🙌

Had a cracking weekend with the best company.
May not have been the race I wanted but @alicefrancescayoung got us over the line pretty much carrying a less than useful partner come the end 😂.
@alicefrancescayoung thank you for partnering me it was such an honor to race with you on your last race 🫶🏻.

Men’s chat at @kulturetrainingclub

There’s still a stigma around men talking.
How we feel. What we’re dealing with. The things we carry day to day.

We’re taught to keep it in. To get on with it. To not say too much.

Today was about breaking that.

A room full of men, all at different stages of life, different pressures, different challenges choosing to speak, to listen, and to be honest.

That takes courage.

Because the real strength isn’t staying quiet.
It’s being able to open up when it’s easier not to.

This is something we’re building more of.
A space where men can talk, be heard, and realise they’re not alone in it.

Male members are invited to come together for an informal evening where you can talk, listen, or simply be around others who understand. No pressure to speak. No expectations.

Just a space to support each other. Sometimes showing up is enough.

Men’s Mental Health Matters 🖤

People always see us men smiling, laughing, training, doing what we love. From the outside, it looks like we’ve always got it together. But the truth is, not every day feels that way. Some days the heaviest weight isn’t on our backs or in our hands it’s the one on our minds.

We all carry things no one else can see. That’s why talking matters. Holding it in doesn’t make you stronger, it just makes the silence heavier.

If you’re struggling, speak to someone you trust. A mate. A brother. Family. Anyone. Don’t wait until it all comes crashing down.

Being “hard” isn’t about keeping it inside. Real strength is being honest, being human, and knowing you don’t have to fight battles alone.

What a weekend! Proud is an understatement. To see her do something she has worked so hard at over the last 8 months really was amazing. @egle1826 babe you smashed it! Only your 2nd ever @hyroxworld event and 1st doubles you really inspire me to work harder. @jesshazlett I know how nervous you were and how much effort you’ve put into training and you didn’t disappoint. You held your own and loved how made your way to the front and pushed through to take the lead at the start where you both remained in your heat pure class 🙌😂. Think this is only the start of a great partnership roll on the next one ☝️. Thanks to her coach @charlie.searle_ who smashed it out the park this weekend also 💪🏻 @allin__coaching and @bristol_fitness_guy @phil.mataj best coaching around. @physimo_uk for working your magic and making her injury manageable. WOW! What a day so many thank yous I have to say! To my family for coming and cheering me on.

My amazing wife @egle1826 you make my life complete and make me be a better person. @uncleben83 for that phone call asking did u want to sign up and to all my lads that signed up and encouraged each other on the chat 🙌. My running coach @bristol_fitness_guy thanks for getting me to this standard and got me across the line! Better things to come. Had the trailer serviced this weekend. Making it safe and sound,Brakes being number one thing. What I’ve come to learn about these old trailer is the parts and information on them are sparse or practically non existent. So we adapt and over come!
