Last night was more than just a show for me. It was the result of a 10 year journey… of growth, setbacks, self doubt, and learning how to keep showing up anyway.

This wasn’t my first time on stage… but it felt different. I came back 5 weeks later, on a week where my body wasn’t at its best and my hormones were all over the place and I still showed up with a huge smile and zero excuses 🤍

44 weeks of prep, and years behind that… and it all led to this moment.

To all the incredible competitors the support on and off stage was so special. Women supporting women, lifting each other up… that energy is something I’ll never forget 🤍

Huge thank you to my coach Dan @coachpersonaltrainingau for believing in me and guiding me every step of the way. And to my friends & family you know who you are thank you for your patience and standing by me through everything. I couldn’t have done this without you 🥹

Now it’s time for a well deserved break 🙌🏻

YOU SEE THE TRANSFORMATION. BUT YOU DON’T KNOW THE HALF OF IT.

Ten years ago, I was the laziest person I knew. Exercise? Absolutely NOT! 🤣 I just wanted to lose some weight. That’s it. No big dreams, no grand plan, and certainly no idea that one day I’d be standing on a professional bodybuilding stage. Fast-forward ten years, three competitions, just over six months since my first show, and somehow, I’ve become a PROFESSIONAL FIGURE ATHLETE! 🥹✨

But what this little video doesn’t show is everything it took to get here. The sleepless nights, the tears, the setbacks, the moments I questioned myself, and the emotions that came pouring out when it was finally all over. What was supposed to be a celebration of ten years of hard work became one of the greatest lessons I’ve ever learnt about myself. And behind it all was the strength of a woman who taught me something far more valuable than how to win.

I know the majority of you probably don’t read my weekly blogs, and that’s absolutely okay! 😂 But if there’s ever been one piece of my writing I’d love you to take a few minutes to read, it’s this one.

Because this isn’t just another competition recap or another fitness transformation story. It’s probably one of the most personal and emotional things I’ve ever written. It’s about where I started, everything I’ve overcome, the people who’ve stood beside me, and the woman whose strength continues to inspire me every single day.

If you’ve ever doubted yourself, felt like giving up, or wondered whether you’re capable of changing your life, I hope you’ll find a little piece of yourself in my story. Because sometimes the greatest transformations have very little to do with what we see in the mirror.

A FEW DAYS FROM SHINING BRIGHTER THAN EVER 💎✨

This time, it’s about so much more than a placing or a trophy.

Every rep. Every set. Every step. Every sacrifice. Every hard day I pushed through when giving up would have been easier… she built that.

Of course I’m coming to compete 😈 but whatever happens on that stage can never take away what it took to get there.

This show is my celebration. The work. The pain. The growth. The discipline. And the woman I’ve become through all of it.

And considering they practically have to tell me to get OFF the stage at rehearsals 😂 I think it’s safe to say I’m ready to enjoy every fucking second of this one.

THEY THINK I’M CRAZY. THEY’RE PROBABLY RIGHT. 😂

Just over a week out and we’ve officially reached that part of competition prep.

Depleted. Hungry. Exhausted. And at this point, I’m not even going to pretend I’m good company. I’m even hard to be around myself right now. 😂

I’m lean. I’m close. I look the best I’ve ever looked in my entire life. But in my eyes, that final stage look isn’t quite there yet. There’s still work to do, and peak week is incoming. 😈

Two shows. One mini build. One long-ass competition season. And now one final push before I get to see what Leesa 3.0 looks like under those stage lights.

Fuck, I’m proud of this. 🥹🔥

Countless sessions, check-ins, highs, lows and days I had to show up when I had absolutely nothing left.

Watching my physique evolve throughout this journey reminds me just how much work has gone into becoming this version of me.

Body dysmorphia is a mindfuck. I can look the best I’ve ever looked and somehow still convince myself I’m not good enough.

The closer I get to the stage, the harder it has become to see myself clearly. When you spend long enough searching for flaws, eventually flaws are all you can see.

This is the side of competition prep you don’t see in the stage photos.

SAME BODY. SAME DAY. DIFFERENT LIGHTING. 🤯

These photos were taken on the exact same day and the second one was actually BEFORE training, so no pump to take the credit.

The difference? Lighting, posing, angles and how I’m standing.

At home in bright natural light, everything looks softer and my definition is harder to see. Get me under those magical gym downlights, angle my body, engage my muscles and suddenly… ABS HAVE ENTERED THE CHAT 😏

It’s such a good reminder that your body can look completely different within HOURS without your body composition changing at all.

Lighting matters.
Angles matter.
Posing matters.
And neither photo is any less “real” than the other.

So next time you see someone looking absolutely shredded online and wonder why you don’t look like that standing relaxed in your bedroom mirror…

Remember: sometimes it’s just the fucking lighting 😂💡

I Didn’t Come This Far To Live Someone Else’s Life.

People will judge you whether you succeed, fail, stay the same or completely reinvent yourself. So you might as well build a life that makes YOU happy. Take the risk. Chase the ridiculous goal. Do the thing that scares you. Change direction. Start again. Choose yourself.

One day, this all ends. You get one shot at this. Don’t let anyone else live it for you. This is your life. Live it.
