The best part of my NTV segment was seeing my mom waiting downstairs when I was done. While I was upstairs talking about Diabetes, she was downstairs representing the very thing we are all fighting for: Time with those that matter.

For every CEO and HR reading this:
Your employees aren’t just “headcount.” They are sons, daughters, and parents. When they collapse under the weight of a preventable lifestyle disease, business will continue but their families stay affected.

But from a business perspective? This is expensive. Working with corporates has made me see how HR departments in Kenya are excellent at managing payroll and compliance, but stay missing the most critical human capital risk: The biological depreciation of their talent.

We often treat health as a “perk” or an insurance line item. But if we look at the Grossman Model of Health Demand, we’re reminded that health isn’t just a “benefit”, it is the most essential form of capital a human being owns.

Im not trying to get your HR fired but they aren’t health professionals and don’t own your business meaning the pinch you feel will never be theirs to bare. Remember, a healthy team doesn’t just mean lower insurance premiums, it means higher cognitive output, better retention, and a more resilient bottom line. by @leez_1006

Adult acne stole more than my clear skin, it chipped away at my confidence, silently, every single day. I tried products. I tried routines. Nothing fixed the real problem. Because the real problem wasn’t my skin, It was me, ignoring the signs my body was screaming: I was burned out AF, my cortisol was through the roof.

Shit happens. Your skin, gut, energy and aura show it. And you have two choices: pretend it’s fine or do something about it.

That’s why I’m stepping into the East African Skin Summit as a moderator. Not to talk trends or preach perfection. But to hold space for real conversations backed by science about real wellness, confidence, and taking care of yourself, body, mind, and soul. by @leez_1006

An hour is all it took for the trajectory of my life to change. AN HOUR!

Months ago, I nearly lost my life.

For the first time in my medical career, I wasn’t the doctor trying to save a patient. I was the patient, desperately needing the healthcare system to work.

After a preliminary diagnosis, I was referred elsewhere without medical documentation or an ambulance. By the time my family and circle of medical colleagues helped me access the care I needed, my condition had worsened.

I survived.

But I have not stopped thinking about what happened.

For nearly a decade, I have worked as a doctor across Kenya and Botswana. I have seen how income, geography, medicine availability and gaps in healthcare delivery shape a patient’s chances of getting the right care at the right time.

Yet this time, I experienced those gaps differently.

What keeps ringing in my head is this: if navigating the system was that difficult for someone working within it, with a network of healthcare professionals, what happens to families without those advantages?

What happens to the mother who cannot afford to travel to another facility? The patient who cannot access essential medicines? The person referred elsewhere without the information or support needed to continue their care safely?

How many people face these barriers without ever making it to the other side?

I got a second chance at life!

And I have this burning desire to continue building towards a future where receiving the right care at the right time in Africa is not a matter of chance. So if you’re already knee deep like i am and would love to collaborate on bridging access and efficiency, DM me.

Survival should depend less on who you know, what you earn, or how hard you have to fight to get the care you need🥲. by @leez_1006

THE ROAD TO 500 BEGINS.

Burnout Campaign 2026 🔥

Burnout is no longer a wellness issue. It’s a business issue.

When stress becomes chronic, we pay for it through reduced productivity, rising medical costs and quiet quitting.

Yet most conversations stop at “self-care” instead of addressing what’s really happening to our bodies, our minds, and our workplaces.

This campaign is changing that.

The goal is to reach 500 employees with one conversation that could change how people work, perform, and live. by @leez_1006

Burnout doesn’t always look dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like being productive all day and feeling nothing at night.
Like answering “I’m fine” on autopilot.
Like being needed by everyone except yourself.
Like functioning so well that nobody notices you’re exhausted.

That’s why so many high-performing people feel tired even after resting.
Why motivation disappears.
Why emotional numbness creeps in.
Why functioning starts replacing living.

In 48 hours.
I curated conversations with 30+ expert panelists.
Navigating everything from pranic healing to the fundamental intersection of human rights and health

We lived the wellness we talk about. A massive honor to have moderated these sessions.
