It’s with great humility and gratitude to announce we have been voted the 2024 Best Local Fitness Club by Pittsburgh Magazine, and with being our first year nominated. We don’t want to be a gym that is measured by success, however we rather be a gym that is known for our value. That value stems from our clients, our community, and our coaches/staff. We will keep this short, and leave you with this; thank you for your consistent love and belief in LEG1ON’s brand and mission. @pittsburghmagazine #L1TP #BUILTDIFFERENT #bestoftheburgh by @leg1on_pit
🔱🧁CELEBRATING 5 YEARS OF LEG1ON🧁🔱 Marking our 5th Anniversary has been nothing short of incredible. What makes it so special isn’t just the milestone - it’s the people who made it possible. Your belief, your energy, and your continued commitment to this community are felt every single day. To our coaches: my gratitude runs deeper than words can capture. Your passion and consistency are the heartbeat of this place. To our clients and members: your drive to grow and become better - day after day - is what inspires everything we do. You are the reason LEG1ON exists. Here’s to the next 5 years of pushing limits, building each other up, and growing something bigger than all of us. As part of this celebration, we’ve partnered with a world-renowned designer- the creative force behind some of the most iconic logos in sports - to launch an exclusive anniversary merch line. It’s a symbol of where we’ve been and where we’re going. Thank you for being part of the journey. - Bryan by @leg1on_pit

“THE CALL IS COMING FROM INSIDE THE GYM.” 💀 Some people SCREAM at haunted houses. Others SCREAM through their last set. 😱 There is a different kind of horror around here. 👻 Happy Halloween from LEG1ON 🎃 #L1TP #BUILTDIFFERENT #training #personaltraining #gym by @leg1on_pit
RECOVERY IS MORE THAN JUST MASSAGE. Scraping, also known as instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), is a technique used to help manage muscle tightness, improve movement comfort, and address areas of soft-tissue discomfort. When combined with massage, mobility work, and proper training, it can be another tool in your recovery toolbox. The goal isn’t to leave bruises. It’s to move better. Train hard. Recover intelligently. Perform at your best. #L1TP #BUILTDIFFERENT #sportsmassage #sportsmedicine #massage by @leg1on_pit
IN-SEASON ≠ EAT LESS High school athletes don’t need to cut back when the season starts. They need to FUEL WITH PURPOSE. Eat enough. Hydrate consistently. Prioritize protein. Fuel before training and games. Recover with intention. The goal isn’t to eat less or chase a certain number on the scale. The goal is to have the energy to train, compete, recover, and perform when it matters most. YOUR BODY IS YOUR EQUIPMENT. FUEL IT LIKE AN ATHLETE. TRAIN HARDER. RECOVER FASTER. PERFORM BETTER. #L1TP #BUILTDIFFERENT #SportsPerformanceTraining #InSeasonNutrition #FuelTheAthlete by @leg1on_pit
No matter the variation, squats serve a purpose. 💪 They build strength, develop lower-body power, improve stability, and challenge your body to move with control. Back squat, front squat, goblet squat, split squat, sumo squat; each variation brings something different to the table. The goal isn’t to squat one way. It’s to train with purpose and build strength that carries over to everything you do. #L1TP #BUILTDIFFERENT #TRAINFORMORE #personaltraining #training by @leg1on_pit
Every rep is an opportunity to raise the bar. Sometimes all you need is a little push. #L1TP #BUILTDIFFERENT #personaltraining #workout #gym by @leg1on_pit
Your hips are built to move, but are you actually training them to? Hip CARs (Controlled Articular Rotations) take your hip through its available range of motion while actively controlling every part of the movement. In this post, we’re breaking down Level 1 Hip CARs (movement focused with some conscious blocking) and different variations you can use based on your current ability and training needs. The goal is simple: → Restore articular kinesthetic awareness by improving your brain’s ability to sense and control the joint. → Increase passive articular strength by building strength and control at the edges of your available range. → Improve usable hip mobility with not just how far you can move, but how well you can control the movement. For athletes, that means better control through the positions your sport demands. For the general population, it means developing stronger, more capable hips for everyday movement, training, and longevity. Mobility isn’t just about getting into a position. It’s about owning it. Train the range. Control the range. Own the range. #L1TP #BUILTDIFFERENT #hipmobility #rangeofmotion #mobility by @leg1on_pit
One session. Frame by frame. Rep by rep. Swipe through an upper-body session at LEG1ON. From the first movement to the final rep, get a look at how the work is put in. This is one example of what the process looks like. #L1TP #BUILTDIFFERENT #personaltraining #training by @leg1on_pit
ZERCHER SQUAT IS MORE THAN A SQUAT. The Zercher squat places the barbell in the crooks of your elbows, challenging your body in a different way than a traditional back or front squat. Why do we use it? Core Strength- Demands strong bracing to maintain a stable torso under load. Upper-Back Strength- Challenges the muscles responsible for maintaining posture and controlling the bar. Anterior Loading- Encourages an upright torso and challenges the body to manage load in front of its center of mass. Real-World Strength- Builds the ability to brace, stabilize, and produce force while managing an awkward load. Why should you try it? Because strength isn’t built by doing the same thing over and over. It’s built by training with purpose, exploring different movement patterns, and addressing what your body needs. At LEG1ON, every exercise has a reason. We don’t train just to lift more. We train to move better, build resilience, and perform when it matters. #L1TP #BUILTDIFFERENT #personaltraining by @leg1on_pit
IN-SEASON ≠ OFF-SEASON High school athletes don’t need to stop lifting when the season starts. They need to TRAIN WITH PURPOSE. Maintain strength, maintain power, manage fatigue, and stay ready to perform. The goal isn’t to leave the gym exhausted or PR every lift, the goal is to be better prepared for game day. It’s time to change the mindset around in-season training. TRAIN SMARTER. STAY STRONGER. PERFORM BETTER. #L1TP #BUILTDIFFERENT #sportsperformancetraining #strengthandconditioning by @leg1on_pit
