thank you sweet friends for your messages and comments but truthfully, I have not been able to read them yet…I promise I will, it’s just been too devastating 🥺 oh how I wish I could hug Legend and Lady again! today, on national pet day, sending you and your fur babies lots of love! 💕 by @legendthepup

Legend, my heart dog 🤍 my sweet beautiful boy could not be without his sister any longer. he loved us unconditionally, and was truly the most human-like dog I’ve ever had…but 5 days without his heart, Lady, was just too much for him. he stopped bringing us “gifts”, no wagging tail or head on the dinner table, his eyes had saddened, his legs were constantly trembling and giving out. he had gone 10 weeks without a seizure and then a few days after she passed, he had multiple back to back cluster seizures and his body was worn out…his immune system was not only compromised but also weakened from the loss of his constant companion who he loved from the moment she arrived…I believe he gave up fighting because of his broken heart 💔 last Monday, Feb 23rd he left us peacefully to be with her on the rainbow bridge, together forever 🌈 this pic was taken just a few hours before…it’s taken me 7 days to post this, I tried, but couldn’t…when a dog passes it’s completely devastating, to lose two in less than a week is pain that I’ve never experienced and was not ready for…I’m constantly reminding myself to breathe in general through life, but now, I am even more mindful of breathing through such heartbreak! we were told Legend was apprx 10 mos when we rescued him and 12 years together was not long enough, it never is! he brought so much happiness to everyone that knew him, near and far, irl or via IG…because of that, I’ve met so many amazing people from all over the world that I now have a special connection to! thank you for letting me share Legend and Lady’s life with you all, thank you for loving my pups! I am so grateful for each and every one of you! 🫶 Lisa by @legendthepup

my precious, beautiful Lady 7/11/2013~2/18/2026 🌈 I know you all understand…the pain is truly unbearable! it’s even harder because there were no signs! she did a mile walk with Legend last weekend, was eating well, drinking, was not on any meds and seemed so happy on her last day. she absolutely loved basking in the sun and would run whenever she heard the ice machine, she loved ice cubes and now I never want to hear that sound 💔 every night, she went to bed at the same time as me and it was just like any other night, where I felt comfort that she was near me…we were coming to terms that because of how bad Legend’s seizures were, he would probably not be with us much longer but then, new meds and he was doing better, close to 10 weeks without one…she always stayed close to him even during one, their bond was so special 🫶 unfortunately, he had a really bad seizure last night, it really scared me but today he’s okay 🙏 Lady was 14 mos when we adopted her and he welcomed her with his stuffies and jumping in the pool, he loved her from that very first moment! every single day, he suckled her ears and he is so very sad without her…he looks for her but he knows, he was there to say goodbye, for now…✨ p.s thank you for all your messages, they mean the world to me!! sending 💕 xo, Lisa by @legendthepup

last night, my sweet girl Lady passed away unexpectedly in her sleep…I’m in shock and completely heartbroken…Legend is doing okay but please continue to keep him in your prayers with the seizures and now a broken heart…he loved her so much…we all do, forever 🫶 by @legendthepup

my wise, sensitive girl! I think it’s hard on her when Legend has seizures but she stays close 🫶 by @legendthepup

my sweet boy is doing better 🩶 he is now on 2 seizure meds and we are hoping for the best! the day we brought Legend home from the shelter, he had a little stuffy that he would not let go of and they told us he liked to suckle it…almost 12 years later, still suckling plushies and Lady’s ears! by @legendthepup

my sweet, very polite boy is still hanging in there although the seizures are happening more frequently 💔 please keep him in your thoughts!#heartdog #germanshorthairedpointer #gsp by @legendthepup

nothing sweeter than a cute powder face GSP 🤍 by @legendthepup

please keep my sweet boy Legend in your thoughts and prayers 🫶 Legend has had 2 seizures during the night, one month apart but a few days ago, he had a really bad one outside during the day where I thought I was losing him. The vet put him on zonisamide but if anyone has had any experience with helping their dog with seizures, please let me know….I’m constantly worried and feel helpless 😢 he also has a large mass near shoulder blade as you can see in this pic that has been there for years and hasn’t effected his mobility but last winter they tried to remove it but weren’t able too after seeing it….he’s truly the sweetest dog you will ever meet…he’s licking my tears away as I write this… by @legendthepup

my beautiful powder face girl turned 12 a few weeks ago…🎈she wakes us (and Legend) up at 5:30am every morning, wants to eat all day long and still runs to the kitchen any time she hears the ice machine 🥰🧊 happy bday sweet Lady 🐶!!! by @legendthepup

Sorry for our absence 🐶🐶 we are doing ok and still love looking at all of our friends photos…we’re just not great at posting 😬 but this is me this morning 🌞 love to all 🫶✨✨ xo, Legend by @legendthepup
