Your back to the ocean, burning red
I can’t imagine you dead
But you are every day
Thank you for everything Dad
(Already the 4th time September 12 fell on a Saturday again…the years don’t stop coming…grief is weird) by @legitsnack

Milo had a fun morning (I lied, he was actually pretty anxious in a new place) playing in a closed amusement park (fka Fantasy Island), y'all remember the old west shootouts they did here when we were kids? taken in Niagara Amusement Park & Splash World at Fantasy Island by @legitsnack

16 years without my Dad is crazy work. Pretty soon he'll have been gone for as long as I even knew him 😑

One year ago today we said our final goodbye to you.

Your hands were folded
Your eyes were closing
Your words were broken
Your eyes were dry

You, the anchor, were slowly sinking
Into darkness yet unknown
But the fading light around you
Was full of faces who carry your name

I was weak looking at you, a pillar of truth, turning to dust by @legitsnack

wishing a happy birthday to the best person I know, and someone I have consistently been friends with for most of my life. From 8th grade through high school, did peach queen together, back together for grad school, we both ended up being therapists, and both ended up being obsessed with dogs. Clara @teloiv25 I love you 💕 by @legitsnack

congrats to Milo on his NW1!!!

to put it in terms y'all can't understand because everyone just asks if he's training to be a police dog????? (hunny Milo is in his golden years it's a little late for that, maybe in another life where his original family loved him and didn't put BB gun pellets in his head)

we show up to a random place we've never before, he waits his turn with like 50 other dogs. we have to find a hidden scent, one is indoors in a container, one is inside a room somewhere, one is outside somewhere, and one is outside on a vehicle. he has to correctly find all of them and alert to me, and I have to not fuck up and manage to trust him. He also can't pee or he fails! so basically it's a culmination of years of work on his mental stability that he can even get through this....but yes it's ultimately for fun and "meaningless"

anyway he heard it would be homophobic if he failed during the first day of pride month, so here he is! 🏳️‍🌈🌈
