We're thrilled to announce the debut of Mishke Moshke Klezmer Series!

🔥It's the newest series of klezmer & more on the Philly scene.

Get tickets now & help us fill the venue for this very special kick off!
➡ bit.ly/mishkemoshke

You won't want to miss the Lori Goldston Trio, featuring none other than our esteemed friend, mentor and klezmer makher, Philly’s Phinest, trombonist Dan Blacksberg - along with renowned klezmer accordionist, important klezmer researcher, and teacher to many of us, Christina Crowder – both adding to the virtuosic sound of Seattle-based, genre expansive cellist Lori Goldston. Zimyl & The Philly Shmeerkatz will have yiddish dance leading by Miryam Coppersmith during our set!

Plus, you can learn directly from Christina in a pre-show klezmer workshop for all ages/levels – workshop tickets get you into the show.

About the series:
Produced by the Fallser Club with Zimyl & The Philly Shmeerkatz, the Mishke Moshke Klezmer series highlights klezmer music (and more), social justice, and participatory experience. This new seasonal series aims to create a platform for various local and touring yiddish and adjacent cultural performers, highlighting diasporic continuity, solidarity, and exploration. Beyond extraordinary entertainment, each event will be uniquely shaped for crowd engagement through learning, action, and artistic inspiration!

SEE YOU ON OCT 8! taken in The Fallser Club by @legoldston

Weather Report! Out November 6th: Rivulet by Seattle cellist and composer Lori Goldston. Goldston is joined by a broadly skilled ensemble of local collaborators. Recorded live, this piece was created especially for a concert about collective strength and imagination, and extra-linguistic memory moving in music and water. Composed with graphic and traditional notation, the score tests and dwells in brackish margins between musical conventions. She is joined by Dave Abramson (percussion & drum set), Haley Freedlund (trombone), Kole Galbraith (bass), Greg Kelley (trumpet), and Austin Larkin (violin).

Commissioned and presented by Nonsequitur; performed and recorded June 7, 2019.

Recorded, mixed and mastered by Mell Dettmer.

Available digitally on November 6th, as well as on limited edition vinyl LP. See ⛓️👆🏼 taken in Seattle, Washington by @legoldston
