Introducing, the Flamingo log Clean and press.

I get one day a month I’m allowed to go off program and do some horsecockery level shit. Shit that might not be safe, might be bad for me.

I have been thinking about this lift for like 3 weeks, since I first attempted it. It’s not even a strength thing, it’s purely balance.

Figuring out how to balance yourself on one foot while bringing a 160 pound log to your chest, and then pressing it to the sky, all while staying upright.

Before this, I had attempted to tie the world record for log press as an above knee amputee, and I failed, but not by much. I attempted it cold. It was my first lift of the day. I had done no warmup. It was a 30 lb PR, and it moved fast, until it didn’t. Have to dial in some of the settings on my prosthetic.

I think it’s thanks to my Chiropractor @dr.jasminebrowndc and my new New Balance Shoes.

They both gave me balance.

Working on dialing in my new @biodapt. Was having an issue with my heel lifting up and losing balance, but I think we have it figured out..

5 weeks until the @officialstrongmangames. Should be a good time!

It’s always fun to lift heavy, and trap bar deadlifts make me feel somewhat strong. Single digits to nationals, and I’d like to think we’re ready.

I lied. It was 250 lbs in the front and 300 lbs in the back. It’s hot in Florida and I teach carpentry not math.

Hot dogs, monster, @pitviper, and (sort of) heavy weights. Freedom never felt so good.

I also damaged my deadlift platform because I’m not smart.

It got stuck on my knee. Ya boy is back at it with the horsecockery. Few weeks until Americas Strongest, few months to worlds. I’ve never actually pulled this weight outside of a competition. So I was kind of stoked to get it in the gym. Happy birthday America. 500 lbs by the end of the year?

253 Lb Atlas stone over a 48Inch bar. I went into this originally wanting the 240lb stone, but I knew @nolegnoprob had already done that one, so I had to one up him, lol.

You’ve been amazing and such a huge asset to have in my corner. Im sorry about my Yoke and Axle Clean and press. I have no idea what happened on my Axle, and I messed up the Yoke Height bad.

Pretty much our entire relationship is just based on @stumpybjj calling me fat. I wouldn’t have it any other way. I am blessed to have gotten to spend time with you over the last month.
