On pause 📷
Tired of AI, performative activism & moral grandstanding.
I miss real LEGO photography: creativity, skill & fun.

Out of bricks?
Nope.

Just not feeling the camera much lately.

And if you’ve been wondering why it’s been so quiet here these past few months.. that’s pretty much why.

AI-generated images are everywhere now. Some of them look impressive, sure. But I miss the actual craft of photography, building a scene, hunting for the right angle, playing with light, failing, and trying again.

But what really bothers me is that everything seems to need a message these days. Even LEGO photography. Somewhere along the way, it started to feel less about creativity and play, and more like another way to make a statement, take a side, prove a point.

And increasingly, it feels like there’s only room for one “right” opinion. Say something different, and instead of having a conversation, you’re quickly labelled, judged, or shut down.

Apparently, agreeing to disagree has gone out of fashion.

And honestly, I’m tired of all the performative nonsense too: saying the right things, showing the right attitude, playing the social media game. Not just here. Everywhere.

Maybe I’m just tired of the social part of social media.

I came here for bricks, photography, and the pure fun of creating something. Not to turn every build into a message or prove I have the correct opinion.

Sometimes LEGO can just be LEGO.
And fun can just be fun.

So I’m taking a break.

Maybe I’ll be back when I feel like picking up the camera again.

The bricks?
Still got plenty of those, though. by @legomanin

Some adventures are simply timeless — especially when Snoopy is coming along 🐾

I had the chance to build and photograph this lovely Snoopy sets from Pantasy, and they instantly brought a little bit of Peanuts nostalgia to my desk.

The set is playful, charming and full of sweet details — perfect for anyone who loves Snoopy, cozy brick builds and display pieces with character. I really enjoyed building it and capturing the little scenes.

Thank you so much @pantasy.official for sending me these lovely sets.
