@meyle.northamerica This is my 97 Drivers Edition Gti. It was my dream car when they first came out and I was able to obtain one finally in my late 40’s.. why is it cool? Because they only made 200 in jazz blue.. It has some meyle maintenance parts to keep it going and it matches your colors.. Wow 30 years PVW!! What an achievement to still have such an inspirational magazine that’s influenced thousands of enthusiasts over the past 3 decades.. I remember finding my first PVW in my early 20’s at a book store in Florida.. It was such a large part of my life ever since… I dreamed of having a car nice enough to one day even be considered to be in it.. I remember being ecstatic to have a few small photos in the readers rides section back in the early 2000’s.. And I never would have imagined being able to have several features including gracing the cover of such a prestigious magazine just a few short years later. Congratulations Elliot and the entire PVW team on 30 years!! I’m beyond proud to be in it and actually, share the same birthday!!! Anyone ever do smoked ABT lights before?? Picked up some ruff but complete lights this past summer and finally got around to restoring them. The light buckets were pretty rusted, bubbling and pitted, so I stripped them down to bare metal and sprayed them gloss black and stripped off the chipped red paint, fixed some missing tabs and laid down some fresh Jazz blue.. #theblueone .#driversedition #abtsportsline by @lehr13

When life gives you lemons, you dye them black.. Building on a budget can be challenging, but when I saw a decent set of concept Recaros overseas for a lot less than what they normally go for here, you take a chance.. I figured I’d try my hand at dying leather, hey.. what’s the worst that could happen??? Well after a few attempts of what not to do.. I figured it out.. They came out pretty nice. But when I went to install them, I found out they were Mk2 bases (polo?).. so cut the old seats up and made some brackets to run in a mk3..
