I’ve never seen @ratheruggedmanofficial perform “Uncommon Valor” in real life, and it was worth the wait. @sagefrancissfr continues to absolutely crush and inspire, 20+ years after my first Sage show in WI. @mrfuckingdibbs will destroy your car stereo with two new projects that will leave you wanting more. 🐶 Juno is here to remind you that 🐶• Empathy is so, so easy. "Whenever I'm about to do something, I think, 'Would an idiot do that?' And if they would, I do not do that thing." - Dwight Schrute 💓• ICE have no business shoving their weapons inside innocent people's vehicles, only to murder them in broad daylight. They really don't have *any* business and it's time for them to be shut down and get out of our cities. 👋🏻• Somali folks in MN are the absolute best. Stop hating and make some new friends with great food. 🥘• Speaking of cities, NYC @nycgov is safe as h*ck. @nycmayor is out here fixing bike lanes, trying to make living more affordable, and is working on universal childcare. What's scary? We got pizza and like to walk fast. 🍕• Vaccines save lives and cause adulthood (in humans, canines, and other animals). 🧬• PBS and NPR have not shut down. 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣ was an exercise in patience, endurance, transparency, hunger, fatigue, fear, focus, and so much more.We were fortunate enough to travel to 🇲🇽🇯🇵🇬🇧🇬🇷🇫🇷 as a couple/with family/friends, spent 18 hours in Philly, and we reunited with beloved places like Minnesota, Michigan, and Arizona. I said goodbye to @saintdinette but said hello to a handful of new babies. All is not lost.Thanks to everyone who made it immensely warm, memorable, and special. Ten years ago in a past life, I happened into @saintdinette’s soft opening in Lowertown St. Paul. I came back the next day. And then again. And then again. I left Minnesota, but I never let a year pass without coming in for a cheebie and a hug or two. I once flew from MN to DC with a slab of frozen Dinette burger patties in my carry-on for @shaneguiter’s birthday. I’ve started friendships and built relationships in this space, filled with light and a constant hum of work (and play). I’m absolutely convinced that spending so much time in a space run by @tim_niver taught me how to be a better team member, focusing on true hospitality and never letting stress win. Thank you for providing such a welcoming space and for making your customers feel like family, whether it’s their first visit or their 50th. This is just the beginning! 🍔 by @leiftheviking

One month in. We started 2024 off as only we could. We planned a trip, the weather went sideways, and we adapted. With swimsuits, sandals, and snowboards in tow we flew from JFK to HNL, HNL to YYC, YYC to LAX, and from LAX to JFK. Sun, snow, and sand over almost two weeks. We chased the sun, powder, and solitude. Thankful for @delta, @ikonpass, @usinterior, and @americanexpress. Here’s to February. by @leiftheviking

Season 25. Days 1 and 2. A fresh @yes_snowboards deck under the feet, a lingering case of bronchitis, and the second season in a row kicking things off at @coppermtn. We came, we struggled to breathe, we drank, we made new friends, we conquered. I’ve been toying with the idea of saving a bike from the trash heap for awhile. I picked up this steel @fujibikes Sandblaster circa the mid 90s in New Jersey for $75. With muscle and hard work from @bicycleroots just down the street, and another 25% of the work done myself, my first single speed conversion/rebuild is done. I just took it around BK for sunset and can’t remember the last time I had so much fun on a bike. No photos allowed past the entrance, so this is all you get. @nbcsnl helped me find my sense of humor while growing up (abrupt, weird, iterative), the classics on DVD kept me entertained as a kid, and the new generation has given me such immense hope for the future of comedy. From almost running into @chethinks in the hallway while I was trying to hit the bathroom before the cold open, to witnessing @meatbrickmolly stand up (float?) for what’s right while still making us laugh, being mere feet away from the @pleasedontdestroy crew, seeing ana_d_armas and @karolg flawlessly represent their cultures, to accidentally walking out of 30 Rock behind Lorne Michaels to a crowd of very confused fans staring at us…That was one of the best nights I’ve had since moving to NYC in 2020. My fave sketches from last night were the studio session with @kenanthompson @internetdevon @eggyboom @karolg and Ana, and the dog acting skit with literal angel @chloeiscrazy and Ana and all the pups, rounded out by @mikeyfuntime and Ana and @marcellohdz and the best Spanish class I’ve ever seen. Shout out to Marcello’s family sitting by us! 🇨🇺 Shout out @heytrisha for winning the ticket lottery and listening to me cackle in the kitchen every Sunday morning while I rewatch sketches, and here’s hoping we can make it back sooner rather than later. Two years ago today we shared that we adopted a new pup. In those 730+ days we have had ups and downs, lost shoes, a scarf, and had some flawless tennis ball catches. We’ve all been taught more about trust, loyalty, and love. Juno Beans is the light of our lives and unless you’re a bodega cat, she’s probably brightened up your life, too. 🐶 by @leiftheviking
