Happy 22nd birthday to my eldest child 🎂

Adopting you has been the most stressful, expensive, heart-breaking, exhausting, painful decision I've ever made... and I wouldn't change a thing.

Last month I celebrated 10 years with OUTinPerth. I've been part of the team as an intern, a journalist, and now co-editor and co-owner.

Every single day since we bought the publication in 2017, I've felt like I'm not doing enough.

That was an unexpected side effect of running a small business focused on community service - feeling guilty for every second of my free time not spent doing more work. Writing more articles. Making more sales. I took a second full-time job so I didn't have to draw a salary from my business anymore.

I've decided I'm not going to feel guilty anymore. I do enough. I will keep trying to do better, but I do enough.

Despite the guilt, I've always been proud of OUTinPerth. I'm proud of what we've achieved - keeping up with the big players, finding ways to grow and adapt with minimal resources, sharing your stories with the world.

I can't wait to see what the next ten years will bring. And the next ten after that. I love my stupid baby ❤️ by @leighandrewhill

It was a pleasure to join these remarkable folks for this special IDAHOBIT panel last week. It was heartening to see so many Curtin staff come along and engage with the conversation about how they can stand by their LGBTIQA+ colleagues and loved ones in the face of rising discrimination.

I am always grateful to have a platform to speak about the role of @outinperth in our community.

@outinperth is proud to stand in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in calling for a Voice to Parliament as part of the journey for Voice, Treaty and Truth.

I thought I'd share why I'm voting Yes tomorrow, with the hope others might join us on this journey.
