It’s difficult to put into words my experience choreographing Cabaret.

Musical theatre choreographers are typically seen as people who throw together little numbers that occur in between scenes. They are not a part of the creative process. They are not included in conversations regarding lighting design, costumes, tonality, storytelling, etc.

This experience was the exact opposite. I was given a truly collaborative opportunity to create movement that emphatically served the plot and the concepts created by @kvzwritesplays.

This show is challenging. It deals with subject matter that is extremely heavy and unfortunately, still relevant. The amount of trust you must have in each other in order to respect this story and tell it truthfully is immense. I cannot thank the cast, crew, and everyone involved in this production for committing to the concept of each number with respect and dedication. Love you all endlessly.

Now please enjoy some photos of the art we created.
