It's true that I've always doubted myself, and I still do up to this day. I could talk about all the things I've accomplished just to make everyone believe I deserved the spot, and maybe if I did this 2-3 years earlier in my career, I probably would have. But instead, I wanted to share something I would have wanted to hear during my darkest days, when I was on the edge, losing hope, wishing I'd hear something that could push me to struggle just a little bit more. Akala ko talaga wala nang chance eh. Ilang beses na din akong muntik sumuko. Being an artist these days is sobrang challenging and it really takes a lot from you mentally, physically, and emotionally. Masaya kapag nasa momentum ka, pero once you lose it, masusubukan talaga kung enough ba yung belief mo sa sarili mo. Sa totoo lang, minsan you have to be a little delusional just to get through big changes. In 2024, I told myself that if I ever got it back again, I'd take it and finally do my absolute best. Preparing for this talk was rough. We ended up with only an hour of sleep before the event. When I stepped on stage, I was trying not to pass out from exhaustion and I forgot some of what I wanted to say. But when people started lining up outside the venue to tell me what they felt about the talk, dun lang talaga ako nakahinga. The journey was tough, but what made it possible for me to fulfill one of my biggest dreams of speaking at @graphikamanila was the support system around me. Friends, followers of my work, complete strangers, and family. Iba talaga kapag may mga taong naniniwala sa'yo. Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nakinig sa talk, sa mga pumunta sa booth, at sa lahat ng sumuporta. Halos naubos lahat ng stock namin first day pa lang and we even had to restock the next day. Special thanks to Aram Sadat Beheshti, Ella Saballa Beheshti, the Graphika Manila team, my booth team Sunny Sunny, Hikaru Santelices, Maria Eusebio, Joseph Poblete, and of course Kei. Maraming salamat!! #GraphikaManila (Full-version on my FB post) taken in SMX Convention Center - SM Mall of Asia by @leimelendres

A big thank you to everyone who have supported me throughout my career! We finally made it onto the list, and I’m super honored to be part of such an amazing lineup for @graphikamanila 2026! Although it still feels surreal and there’s a lingering voice telling me I don’t deserve the spot, I see this as a huge opportunity, so you can be sure I’ll give it my all. Looking forward to seeing everyone! 🙇‍♂️❤️ LET'S DO THIS! 👽✨️ Amazing poster design by @ardhiraputra ! 🔥🔥🔥 #GraphikaManila #GraphikaManila2026 by @leimelendres

Been busy working on a lot of new artworks lately. This has been my BUSIEST year yet, and my BER months schedule has been absolutely insane. I just couldn't stop myself from accepting new opportunities. 😅 After losing career momentum far too many times in the past, I finally decided to give it everything I've got and make the most of my time. Between freelance projects, brand collaborations, and attending conventions as a booth merchant, things can get pretty overwhelming. I've also found it harder to make time for socializing because I'm constantly thinking and planning my next moves. The weird thing is, back when I used to waste so much time doing things that didn't contribute to my growth, those were some of the lowest points of my life. They say, "Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time," but looking back, I have plenty of regrets, especially about the opportunities I let slip away simply because I kept making excuses. Now, I'm juggling multiple projects with seemingly impossible deadlines, yet somehow, I feel more fulfilled and happier than ever. Thankfully, my mind and body can still keep up, although I know I should be more mindful of my limits as I get older. I'm not entirely sure where I'm going with all this rambling. I actually just wanted to write a short caption for this artwork preview, but here we are. 😅 Maybe I just want something to look back on someday, to remember the struggles, sacrifices, and progress I've made along the way. Anyway, sorry for all the ads and promotional posts lately and not enough new artworks. I swear I've been working on a lot! I just haven't felt like sharing much of the behind-the-scenes process lately. I'm thinking of starting a MAIL CLUB with the focus of sharing these inner thoughts so that I can share them only with those who are interested. What do you think? But yeah, more artworks to come! 👽✨️ by @leimelendres

Creativity hits different when you bring art to life. 👽✨ Here’s our animated take on an alien artwork by one of the Filipino artists we admire, Lei Melendres, taking an already awesome illustration and exploring how it can move, breathe, and feel alive through animation. Because sometimes, inspiration is where the next creative experiment begins. 🎨⚡ Original artwork by @leimelendres Animation by Digitalinnov. #digitalnnov #leimelendres #animation #motiondesign #filipinoartists by @leimelendres
