Poppy is resting soundly after a workplace injury requiring four staples to the neck. We are still uncertain if it was a harassment issue involving her unhinged colleague and brother Eli…

Human Resources are rather useless and unable to get to the bottom of it.

Little champ didn’t complain one single bit. But for the hole in her neck, the boss would not have even known….

My baby Eli loves me so much… After I feed him and to show his appreciation… he gave me the sweetest of thank you messages… he cocked his leg and peed on his food bowl..

And what is it that you see?

I bumped into a cousin a year or so back… she asked… Still at West Beach? I was embarrassed… As though I was to have progressed from that spot and my home of 18 years… I said, with a sense of failure, yes….. Still here.

The foolishness for both of us was this: I am still here but in a very different spot to where I was at West Beach ten years ago when she last asked…

The gardens have changed and flourished. My child is now growing into a woman. The walls have been painted, there is a pool… There have been so many things that make my home wonderful… contrary to the pressure I feel from society to throw things away…. To me, my home is not disposable. I’m actually torn to leave…

I looked out my window this morning and the perspective of my view could have gone one of two ways. I could have seen my windows without double glazing or the cleaning of my glass that should have been done… But my view was different, I saw the establishment garden, the light shine in, my pretty shutters, my fluffy dog. The tranquility of knowing this is my safe place.

Perhaps in time, I will no longer ‘still be at West Beach’… but for now, isn’t it nice just to be still without wanting more. by @lellaellael

Poor pooch Eli needs some help today. The vet dropped the ball on helping with his ears and now wants to put him to sleep to pluck them. Can anyone recommend a vet for a second opinion and treatment today. by @lellaellael
