Year 4 of Anime NYC! This time Margie and I went as Gohan and Videl, one of the cutest anime couples ever. We also saw an anime-related standup comedy show for the first time. Very funny! It was a great time :)

I played a piano solo for Jurrasic Park!

In many ways this is the fulfillment of a dream of mine. My mom can tell you that when I was in high school I told her that in college I wanted to play in an orchestra. But I was only self taught at piano and could barely read sheet music, so it seemed unlikely. Thankfully I was able to join the college wind ensemble and get lessons in percussion since they had an opening. And I joined piano ensemble where we played piano duets. Then post college I got music theory lessons. That together was my music education. But I always dreamed I could be good enough to play the piano part of our wind ensemble pieces, which were normally reserved for a more experienced guest performer. And now finally I was able to be that guy! Granted this isn't the hardest part, but it's not easy playing piano with an ensemble, because you need a very secure grasp of the rhythm you are playing to play along with other people and a conductor! Very happy with how we sounded here. Thank you to Timur my percussion teacher, Linda my piano ensemble director, and Alba my music theory teacher for giving me the fundamentals needed to do this. taken in Trevor Day School by @lemur918

Woooh, let's go Knicks! My first playoff game with Margie and Peter and Andrew. Mine and Margie's first game together too! So fun. Also, some nice shots by Margie of the team and Spike Lee. So fun. Such great fans. And of course I'm a die hard fan, too. taken in Madison Square Garden by @lemur918

Margie and I had a great time this weekend for her birthday. Glad we had so much fun together :)

At Dave and Busters we had fun with Connect Four basketball (no vids because no hands to record when you're playing seriously, no?). Margie is great at the piano game. Phantom of the Opera was as beautiful as I remember from when I watched in 2011. Glad we got to finally see it together :) We also had a nice surprise brunch with José, and I got to visit her church Times Square Church. Here's to more nice times together! by @lemur918
