INSERT. Artistic Practices as Cultural Inquiries is a platform seeking to bring together artistic, scientific and curatorial practices in the frame of culture analytical research. With Acts of Keeping: Vernacular Archives and Social Performances of Memory the editors focus on family albums, a dress, embodied repertoires, collected militaria – which exist outside of institutional record-keeping and follow their own logics of care, contingency and social relation. The archive is hereby understood both as a repository and as an event. The question of how artistic research can stay accountable to the vernacular properties of its objects remains open. 📹 Upcoming Sunday @bonzjochen will be presenting my video piece DISTORTED//VERZERRT (2025, 12min) during the so-called NRW Day in the city of Münster. It will be shown on the science-stage at 6pm. North Rhine-Westphalia Celebrates 80 Years of Democracy and Diversity in Münster - Eleven themed zones to explore and enjoy throughout the city center, music and cultural events on numerous stages. FICTION MAKES ME NAUSEOUS Opening in Berlin tonight! Curated by @kira.dell and @sdl.lr as part of @48stundennk . I am showing the video installation TENDENCY DISTORTION among an inspiring group of artists all working within and around the concept of autotheory and autofiction. Many many thanks to my incredible collaborators who helped bring TENDENCY DISTORTION to life! It would not be the same without Alexandro, Daniel, Gerd, Guiliano, Kathrin, Marcel, Marie, Matthias, Sonja, Tina and Willy from Grafenschreck. I am very happy to be part of this show and looking forward to also presenting a first reading of a new series of texts: PARTICIPANT OBSERVATION I (Teilnehmende Beobachtung I). ☝🏻It will be in German.
