«Piña Colada» 2026 🍷
Oil on canvas, 100x130 cm

From my solo exhibition «Arguineguín» at @kobbelkunstbyra 🌴 Open Thursday-Saturday until September 27.

My paintings are based on images I find online that I collage, cut and edit before translating them into paintings. I’m interested in the value of images, how some have status and are symbols and icons of our time, while others are dismissed and considered low culture and without value. When moving images intended for rapid circulation online into slow, figurative paintings, I seek to challenge the hierarchy of images.
