🎭 What’s your gateway show?

For Lencia Kebede, shows like Wicked and Hamilton can be so much more than a night at the theater — they can be the spark that opens the door to an entirely new love of musical theater.

Lencia talks about the power of these “gateway shows”: the productions that pull new audiences in, create lifelong theater fans, and inspire people to discover everything else Broadway has to offer.

Lencia Kebede shares a powerful memory from performing “Defying Gravity” in Wicked, and the unexpected connection she felt with an audience member while singing one of Broadway’s most iconic songs.

A reminder that live theatre isn’t just about performing for an audience. It’s about connecting with them. 💚
