Too busy discovering new places, meeting lovely people, and getting lost on roads I’ve never taken before.

What an adventure! I’ve collected way too many photos and videos by now, so it’s definitely time for an update!

The final meters through Montenegro, on my way to Peja, Kosovo! Most of the tourists have gone home by now, making the roads a lot more enjoyable to ride.

And as for Montenegro, it’s definitely a country worth visiting on your next holiday. The nature is incredible, and the locals are just as welcoming and lovely! 🇲🇪❤️ taken in Montenegro by @lenmonade

One last update from this amazing ride through Montenegro 🇲🇪

The Trans Dinarica was such an incredible ride. I honestly can’t stop thinking about it — the mountains, the views, the people, and all the crazy moments along the way.

Here are some more photos with my Australian friends I met on the road 🇦🇺🚴‍♂️

Enjoy the memories 🤘 by @lenmonade

cruising down the mountain… 1,500 meters of descent makes for a pretty damn good day!

Moments like these my mind just goes blank and I’m completely in the moment. No plans, no thoughts, just the road, and the feeling of rocking down.

🇲🇪 Montenegro was pure gold! ⛰️✨

What an amazing few days riding some of the most beautiful gravel roads we’ve come across so far. Perfect gravel, huge mountains and views that honestly never seemed to end.

Every now and then the road turned into a little hike-a-bike session to reach the top of a hill… but every single time, the views made it worth the effort.

One of the highlights? Camping high up in the mountains at a local farmer’s place, where we got treated to probably the best dinner and breakfast we’ve had in days. Nothing fancy — just good food, great people and an incredible view.

This section of the Trans Dinarica was definitely one of my favourites so far. I’d happily go back and ride it all over again… but there are still way too many new roads and adventures waiting for me.

And don’t worry — I’ve still got plenty more photos from Montenegro coming soon. 🇲🇪📸 by @lenmonade

Okay, this morning I may have woken up a little bit too optimistic. Because I wanted to take a little detour from the Trans Dinarica trial I was riding.

This detour took me onto some roads I probably should NOT have taken. Turns out horses and sheep’s can handle things that a bicycle definitely cannot.

But honestly, that’s exactly why I take these detours. Most of the time, they lead to the best adventures, the quietest roads and the most amazing places I would have otherwise completely missed.

This time, though… I had to turn around. 😅

A few hours of cycling in and out for absolutely nothing — or so I thought.

Because at the end of the day, it was completely worth it.

One more Durmitor update 🏔️

We slept in the mountains at this amazing, remote campground, right in the middle of the national park, surrounded by sheep and with a view I’ll never forget.

This was definitely one of my favorite places to stay so far. Too bad we couldn’t stay longer — there was no water supply, and we hadn’t brought enough food to keep our energy levels up.

But this single night on this magical mountain was absolutely amazing. 🤍 by @lenmonade

What an incredible week. Honestly, unbelievable. So beautiful, but so intense at the same time.

I met up with my French bikepacking friend again to ride through Durmitor together, and I can tell you… this was definitely one of the highlights of the trip so far. 🇲🇪

Over 5,500 meters of elevation this week, with some seemingly endless climbs. Legs burning, lungs working, and somehow still smiling.

But look at this. Just look at this…

Fucking amazing. 🤯⛰️🚲 by @lenmonade

Once I tried Silca Secret Chain Blend hot wax, I fell in love. Love at first sight. ❤️

I mean… who wants an oily, dirty chain when you can have a clean one?

Sure, maybe the hassle puts people off. But I decided to give it a try anyway.

I brought a tiny setup on the road with me — a small pot and around 200g of wax. I’ve now been cycling for 3 months, doing 50–100 km a day, and I’ve only waxed my chains three times.

And yes, I’ve had rain. A LOT of rain. My bike has been sleeping outside, completely soaked in the mountains, and the chain is still looking freaking awesome.

I carry a spare chain anyway, so when one needs waxing i have a fresh one ready, I just swap it and wax both chains on my next rest day. Maybe it takes an hour, but on a sunny campsite day off? I honestly don’t mind. 🤘

A few hundred grams of wax, a tiny setup, and a clean drivetrain for months.

Honestly… I’m surprised myself how well it’s worked.

Very happy I brought it. 🚴‍♂️🔥 by @lenmonade
