Ft. Jordan 1 “Lost & Found

The Air Jordan 1 “Lost & Found” — previously referred to as the “Chicago Reimagined”.

Immersive in its every detail, from the box to the materials themselves, the “Lost & Found” paints a vivid scene of finding a set of “Chicago” 1s deep in the basement/storage of a mom and pop shop. Using a spec inspired by its 1985-released counterpart, the shoe features distressed, aged detailing all throughout. The leather on the collar, mid-panel, and toe, for example, is heavily cracked, complementing the dusty finish of the outsole and the scuffs all across the packaging. And to further expand upon the storytelling, the Jumpman has included a vintage-inspired invoice with every pair.

Ft. Jordan 11 “Concord”

Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the player formally known as #23 shocked the world and stunned Nike execs when he stepped on the court in pair of never before seen sneakers. The NBA would ban the shoes for not matching dress code and the world would have to wait half a year for a name and release.

The roller coaster ride that was MJ’s retirement, the possible end of the Air Jordan line, and his comeback collided with the hysteria over the unreleased “patent leather” Jordans. In November 1995, the Air Jordan 11 launched in the “Concord” colorway, redefining the buzz around a sneaker release and selling out nationwide. The Bulls would go 72-10, Mike would reclaim his throne in hoops and footwear, and the rest as they say is history.

Ft. KD 4 - “Galaxy

Give me 2 pair “ @nelly voice”

Initially released and worn by Durant during the 2012 NBA All-Star Game in Orlando, Nike Basketball’s collection of footwear that year looked to space in homage to the Kennedy Space Center for a “Galaxy”-inspired aesthetic that included the riot-inducing “Galaxy” Foamposites. The second of Durant’s Nike silhouettes to feature a mid-foot strap is set to embark upon its identical astronaut inspiration with NASA-style mission patches and lively “Total Orange accents for an anticipated Spring 2024 release. Should be released on Feb 15th, 2024 for Allstar. Perfect for a good refresher.

One of my favorite shoes by Kobe.

This incredibly bright Volt colorway was debuted by Kobe on Christmas Day in 2010 in a highly-anticipated match-up between Kobe Bryant and the new-look Miami Heat. The Grinch effect was a team-wide affair, with the bright green taking form in Player Exclusive form in other Nike models. In addition, the courtside viewers received a special gift bag that included the bright-green Kobes as well.

Flushed out in an incredibly vibrant purple that only truly high-quality of suede can hold, the Packer Shoes x Raekwon x Diadora N9000 “Purple Tape” was introduced in August of 2015. With a recent surge of rapper-collaborated sneakers, Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan, took the quality up by offering his Purple Tape Diadora collaboration with Packer in materials that were fit for only rap-royalty. Released exclusively within the United States, the Purple Tape N.9000 were accompanied by a slew of different Diadora, New Era, and Packer clothes and accessories. Pairs came with 3 extra lace sets and a collaborative sticker between the 3. Unique to a Raekwon collab, the Purple Tapes included the track list for his album “Only Built 4 Cubna Linx” on the insoles. Notedly, the album was originally released as a purple cassette tape, thus the Purple Tape Diadora name. With a retail price of $200, the Purple Tapes were available at S.O.B.’s on August 20th then later available online on the 22nd. The first 95 lucky purchases at the in-store release we afforded tickets to the Purple Tape 20th Anniversary show later that evening. What is considered by many to be the most high-quality rapper-involved collaboration of all-time, the Packer Shoes x Raekwon x Diadora N9000 “Purple Tape” perfectly reflected Raekwon’s style, as well as his music.
