On May 2nd, I'm graduating with my Bachelors of Sciences in Criminal Justice with minors in Forensic sciences and Psychology. As a proud first-gen daughter of immigrant parents, I'm living proof that their sacrifices and hard work paid off.

From crossing the legendary Kappa Kappa Chapter to now walking across the graduation stage, this journey has been bigger than I ever imagined. ECHELON became more than line brothers y’all became family. Through every late night, challenge, laugh, lesson, and unforgettable memories , we built a bond that will last far beyond college. The love, loyalty, and experiences gained along the way helped shape me into a stronger man, leader, and brother. Grateful for every moment, every lesson, and every person who poured into me during this chapter of life. This is only the beginning. 💎🇧🇩 👌🏾Nupes to the good life. #KappaKappa #ECHELON #GGOE #Spring25 #tr3klub taken in UAB - The University of Alabama at Birmingham by @lensofvhi

On May 2nd at 2:00 p.m. I will be graduating from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor’s of Science in
Healthcare Management 🎓🍾

UAB has given me memories and experiences that will stay with me forever. From playing football, being in the training room, locker room, and on the field, to grinding through chem class with my nursing friends and making memories outside of school. Every moment helped shape me into a better man and leader. I’m thankful for every person I met along the way who pushed me to be great.🐉

To my family, thank y’all for the love, support, motivation, and prayers through every injury, setback, and challenge. Y’all never let adversity define me and always reminded me to keep going. I truly thank God for the family I have because y’all paved the way for me to succeed.Ⓜ️

And to my Uncle, the job still isn’t finished. Me and my brother are going to keep the legacy going in the hospitals and clinics, making an impact and helping others just like you showed us. I love you, UNC. One more thing left to do… NURSING DEGREE… 🩺

Over the last 4 years my faith carried what fear couldn’t touch, grace held me together and perseverance kept me grounded. Now the world is mine to conquer. This is more than a degree… it’s a testimony. Daddy, I did it!!

This accomplishment is not mine alone. It belongs to everyone who believed in me, especially my family. Thank you for being my foundation and my forever reason to keep pushing forward. Through every challenge, setback, and victory, you were the ones who kept me going and reminded me of my strength when I forgot it myself. None of this would have been possible without the prayers, encouragement, and unconditional love you poured into me.

“To be young, gifted, and Black.”

They said earning one degree was hard, so I decided to go ahead and get two. Not only did I complete the B.S. but I also MASTERED it.

I am proud to announce that on May 2nd, 2026, I will be graduating from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a Minor in Chemistry, summa cum laude, with High Distinguished Honors, and my Master of Public Health with a Concentration in Health Behavior, with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

I was born and raised in the Campground in Mobile, Alabama, in a single-parent household. My mom earned her degree while raising me, and some of my earliest memories are of us running on 10 plus hour days, me going to school while she went to work and then attended her night classes. My grandmother was in high school when the schools were finally desegregated and always emphasized to my mom and I the importance of higher education for Black people. I was raised by women who made the impossible possible, and I am beyond blessed that God placed them in my life. I would not be where I am today without their sacrifices and guidance. Now, between the three of us, there are three bachelor’s degrees and two master’s degrees, and we are truly living through years of answered prayers to God.

I began working toward my degrees at the age of 15 and in just a few weeks, at 21, I will have both my Bachelor’s and Master’s in hand. UAB has challenged me, inspired me, and shaped me in ways I could never have imagined. From late night studying in Sterne to 8 AM labs, countless lab reports, and everything in between, each experience contributed to my growth and resilience. Let me be a clear example that no matter where you are from, you can make something of yourself.

At 21, I leave UAB with my Bachelor’s and Master’s in hand, grateful for every challenge, every lesson, and every opportunity. Thank you, UAB, for shaping me, for believing in me, and for being ever faithful and ever loyal🐉.
