Happy 🔟 wonderful years to the sweetest boy Leo! The last decade has been the greatest gift from potty training to being the best WFH companion. I’ve been able to see the world through your cute bubble eyes and appreciate life differently. You started to slow down the last few years and it’s a reminder to take in all the little moments.

To celebrate Leo turning 9️⃣ this year, we decided to take him on a longer road trip over the summer. He met up with friends in the Bay Area, stayed at an all inclusive dog friendly resort, and met his cousin (my sister’s dog) back around my college stomping grounds. It brought me so much joy seeing how happy he was simply taking in all the new smells and scenery 🥹 Happiest of birthdays to my senior dog who acts and everyone thinks is still a puppy! taken in Alila Ventana Big Sur by @leo.themini

Happy birthday to my starry eyed boy! Leo is 8️⃣ years young but officially in his senior era now. Albeit hard to face at first, I’m grateful for the big and small pivotal moments Leo has been a part of. by @leo.themini

Happy 7️⃣th birthday Leo, my little old man. From rolling in grass almost every day, especially in the rain and snow 🥲 to finding joy in playing with cat toys, I treasure every silly moment with you. taken in Bend, Oregon by @leo.themini

Maybe it's just me but Fall feels different this time around, and the same could be said about Leo's birthday. The year is coming to a close but time has always slowed down for even our smallest moments. Leo is noticeably settling into his age now and I can't accept it at times. So long as he’s still doing laps in the yard or rubbing his body against snow, I know he’s also the same puppy that whines as I make his dinner. Happy 5️⃣th birthday, my furever pup. I can’t believe how fast the years are passing by and that I’ve had Leo for 1/6th of my life now. There’s never a dull moment with him and he continues to warm even the coldest of my PNW winters 💙 taken in Seattle, Washington by @leo.themini

The greatest silver lining this year has been being able to spend more time with Leo as he gets older and checking things off our bucket list. Happy 4️⃣th birthday ❤️ taken in Seattle, Washington by @leo.themini
