First day on the mountain this Sunday :) we had a little FUD after a few months off, but in this shot, you can see we've remembered the knee bend, and learning to fall *into the mountain* (the mountain helps us), and getting up and going again after a fall. Everybody falls. Falling is funny. Snacks. taken in Willamette Pass by @leoebfolsom

Kitt's first unassisted hike up Spencer Butte, and then this at the top. He did it!

We talked about how you should always fall *into* the mountains, whether backwards (on your butt) or forwards (on your hands), depending on which way you're facing. The mountain will catch you if you fall into it. This is a concept we'll revisit in a couple months when snowboarding. taken in Spencer Butte by @leoebfolsom
