🇧🇷 Diamante do gueto, iluminado. 💎

⸻

🇺🇸 A diamond from the ghetto, shining bright. 💎

Proud of my roots, with no limits to my dreams.

Jiu-Jitsu transformed my life and took me around the world, opening doors, connecting people, and turning distant dreams into reality.

Today, standing in front of the Brooklyn Bridge, I keep living, learning, and writing stories that one day I’ll proudly tell my daughter.

From my roots to the world. And there’s still so much more to come! 🌎🥋🙏🏿

🇧🇷
Maromba. 💪🏾
Portanto, vou continuar fazendo a maromba.
🇺🇸
Strength Training. 💪🏾
It’s not my favorite kind of training, but maybe that’s exactly why it’s so important.
It’s a necessary evil: it strengthens my body, helps prevent injuries, and builds strength and endurance. But its greatest benefit is what it does for my mind.
My comfort zone will always be Jiu-Jitsu. Choosing discomfort is an act of discipline. That’s where I find growth, balance, and, surprisingly, peace in the middle of chaos.
So I’ll keep lifting. Not because I enjoy it, but because it makes me better. And maybe, through consistency, I’ll eventually learn to enjoy it too.

🇺🇸 FROM FATHER TO DAUGHTER ❤️

Being a father to a little girl means more than loving, caring, and protecting. It’s understanding that we are a reflection of what she sees in the world.

I want my daughter to see me not only as her father, but as her protector, her friend, and her lifelong companion. Someone she can always trust and feel safe with.

I also carry the responsibility of being one of her first examples of the kind of man she may one day choose to share her life with. And I take that very seriously.

I pray that God gives me wisdom, humility, strength, and dedication to honor this precious blessing.

I’m not perfect, but every day I strive to become the best version of myself, especially for her.

Because in the end, it’s the little moments, the smiles, hugs, and laughter that become lifelong memories.

May God allow me to be the father she deserves, the example she needs, and the love she can always count on. ❤️

🇧🇷

O trabalho continua. Isso é só mais um capítulo. 🙏🥋

🇺🇸

May God’s will always be done, and may everything happen according to His plans. 🙏

God is the one who chooses which star is meant to shine. ⭐️ Victory may take time. It may require sacrifice, patience, hard work, and faith, but when it finally comes, we understand that everything happened at the right time.

Today, being a PAN-AMERICAN GI CHAMPION 🥇 means much more than winning a medal. It means looking back and knowing that every training session, every struggle, every difficult moment, and every time I wanted to give up was part of the journey.

Giving up was never an option. Faith kept me standing, Jiu-Jitsu taught me to keep going, and God reminded me that His plans are always greater than mine.

I’m grateful to God, my family, my professors, coaches, students, friends, and everyone who has been part of this journey. This victory belongs to all of you too. ❤️

The work continues. This is only another chapter. 🙏🥋

E clareou… 🙏🏿🥇

Vejo toda a caminhada.

Campeão Pan-Americano No-Gi. 🥇

Primeiro, Deus. Toda honra e toda glória são dEle. 🙏🏿

Continue. Levante. Acredite. Uma hora… clareia. 🙏🏿

🇺🇸

And finally… the light came through. 🙏🏿🥇

The journey wasn’t always about victories. There were battles, setbacks, and moments when I had to get back up and keep going. Winning and losing are both part of the journey.

Today, this medal represents much more than a title. It represents the entire journey.

Pan-American No-Gi Champion. 🥇

First, God. All honor and glory belong to Him.

To my family in Brazil, thank you for always being with me, even from afar.

To Gracie Barra Windermere and Gracie Barra Lakeland, thank you for every battle.

And to my brother Professor Calil @calil_gb , always beside me on the battlefield: We’re together, my General! This one is ours! 🤙🏿

To everyone who supports me: thank you!

Keep going. Get back up. Believe. Eventually… the light comes through. 🙏🏿

🇧🇷Nosso primeiro Halloween juntos! 🎃❤️

🇺🇸Our very first Halloween together! 🎃❤️

Yesterday, I experienced one of those moments I’ll carry in my heart forever. For the first time, I got to celebrate Halloween with my daughter at her daycare.

It may seem like a simple moment, but to me, it meant the world. Being there with her, sharing smiles, hugs, and making beautiful memories together was truly priceless.

Being a dad means realizing that life’s simplest moments can bring the greatest happiness.

Thank you, God, for this beautiful blessing! 🙏🏿❤️

🇺🇸 One afternoon, countless smiles, and memories to last a lifetime! 🎃❤️

Our first Halloween together is turning out to be even more special than I ever imagined.

Experiencing Haunted Heights Not So Scary Night with my daughter was truly amazing. Seeing her happiness, being surrounded by other families, playing, walking around, and enjoying every second together made this afternoon unforgettable.

Every smile reminds me that life’s greatest gifts aren’t material things, but the time we spend with those we love.

It doesn’t matter what costume we wear or where we go. What truly matters is being present and building a lifetime of love and beautiful memories together.

Here’s to many more Halloweens with my little princess! Daddy loves you! ❤️

Sim, veio! O primeiro grande Slam na faixa-preta. 🥇

Glória a Deus! 🙏🏿

Campeão Pan-Americano No-Gi (sem kimono). 🥇

🇺🇸

Yes, it finally came! My first major Slam as a Black Belt. 🥇

For years, I had been chasing one of the major Slams as a Black Belt. Many competitions, victories, losses, lessons, and countless hours of hard work. But that major title was still missing.

On my third attempt at the Pan, it finally came.

Every struggle was part of the process. Every time it didn’t work out was preparing me for the moment when it finally would.

And when it was time to step onto the highest place on the podium, there was only one thing in my heart:

Glory to God! 🙏🏿

Pan-American No-Gi Champion. 🥇

Happy with the achievement, but still hungry to improve.

Victory may take time, but never stop working for it.

Nosso primeiro Halloween juntos no Haunted Heights Not So Scary Night, aqui em Harker Heights, Texas!

Obrigado, Deus, por mais essa oportunidade! 🙏🏿

But most importantly, an afternoon when I had the privilege of simply being a dad. Holding my daughter’s hand, sharing ice cream, laughing, and enjoying every second together.

Because at the end of the day, the greatest gift we can give our children isn’t something we buy. It’s our time, our love, and our presence.

My little princess, one day you might not remember every detail of this afternoon, but I hope you’ll always feel how much your daddy loves you and how much these moments mean to me.
