🚨NEW PRINT DROP🚨

‘Koi Fish in Murky Water’ hand-signed fine art prints available now on the webstore (link in bio)🎣

This one is for those of you trying to make it through a tough period. A simple reminder that you’re not alone, that we all struggle in this crazy fever dream we call life…

This will be available to be picked up in-person from my studio in South West London as well as shipped globally.

So if you manage to get your hands on one of the slippery but beautiful Koi, make sure you drop me a note and we’ll work out the timings.

Chin up, and swim good my friends…

Thank you for the continued support 🙏🏼 taken in London, United Kingdom by @leon__farrell

10 megabytes of beauty 🌺

Where it all started…

‘Deroselution’ was a conceptual work experimenting with how far could I go lowering the resolution of an object which epitomises beauty before it loses its lustre.

One of the earliest works created involving my scraping. Raw. Chaotic. Muddled.

I will never let the original triptych go, but I do want those who find beauty in the confusion to be able to own a piece of chaos if they want to walk down that dark path. ♟️

I have created a tiny run of an incredible set of prints, with one framed example up for grabs (details on that soon), which will be available once the site has gone through its final tweaks.

I can’t pronounce ‘hydrangeas’, so I’m renaming the unwieldy beast the ‘hydra’… 🐍

Spring has finally brought its rasclart self to the party…rejoice 🙏🏼

So here’s a selection of blooms for your headpiece… 🌸

There’s an extremely limited amount of prints left of the ‘Sunflowers’ and ‘White Roses in Jug’, DM for details 📥

MIGRAINE 2026, Oil on Canvas, 100cm x 100cm

Sometimes you just paint something from raw emotions…

MIGRAINE is not my typical floral subject matter. And some people don’t love this new work, and I’m ok with that. It’s brutal, not for everyone.

Japan is a place I go to whenever I need inspiration. It has the best fashion, best food and best art supply stores. 🇯🇵

I heard about this mythical book of wonders a while ago, so I picked up a copy and oh boy…the Japanese master of colours, Sanzo Wada has been on a mad one…

He’s the Wonka of colour, documenting and experimenting with different colour combinations so that useless painters like me can sip from the fountain of greatness…

Love you Wada-San…

Underpaintings give a soul, warmth and body to a painting. It’s like a painting’s underwear. Can’t leave the house without them…🩲

Here’s how I do mine, short and sweet without the fluff. 💨

It’s not perfect, but it’s worked for me and if it helps you then that would make me a happy boy.

Any questions, drop a comment or a DM 🙏🏼

Are you awake?…💤

Life gets busy, but oils have to be applied regardless when a man is inspired…

The IG algorithm is going to do me dirty for posting at these witching hours, but this is for the night owls still awake, doing whatever couldn’t get done throughout the day…🦉

Quick announcement, I’ve filed for bankruptcy…🗄️

But don’t worry, I’m now the proud owner of three oil sticks from @sennelier1887 and that’s what’s important because who needs to eat, pay rent or wear underwear? Not me…

Today was about unleashing the inner child in me, and letting 6 year old Leon loose in the studio.

Happy Friday you beautiful people…

Sometimes a seemingly great idea, can lead to digging one’s own grave… 🪦

Who thought it would be a great idea to meticulously paint the intricacies of a sunflower? Me. This GENIUS of a man…

Here’s the inside voice during a ‘fun’ painting session…enjoy…

Gloss, matte or satin? What’s the go to? ✨

I use a lot of white spirits to thin out my paints, but that also dries out the canvas and mutes the colours.

So on this occasion I reached for the @winsorandnewton professional gloss as my defibrillator for my Cliffs of Abroath painting… 🏥

I’m pretty sure I’ll be in the hospital next without how much of this stuff I inhaled… 🚑

❌ Red is typically too harsh of a background colour in my opinion.

Who wants to come home from a long day of slaying dragons and have a painting screaming at them from the walls?… 🐉

Black paint is also on my trespassing list and has been banned from the premises. Way too definitive for my liking.

I’ve got a feeling I’ll be fighting this painting for quite some time, so feel free to sit back, grab some popcorn and watch me struggle my way through 🥊
