Arketype is an interior design studio focused on modern spaces. The studio crafts homes and commercial interiors that feel calm and structured. Arketype turns everyday rooms into warm, simple environments designed to last.

To interpret the brief, I created a visual identity that evoked the sense of space an interior designer is presented with. The solid block that encases the elements represents a living room. The unaltered logotype takes on an architectural quality, while the squares and line between them signify the tools needed to give your home harmony. Abstractly, the squares can be seen as swatches or material finish samples that become part of the visual design system.

Matiz creates handmade ceramics like mugs and bowls, crafted with raw textures and natural imperfections of clay and pigment. It’s made for thoughtful interiors, calm coffee mornings, and homes that embrace tactile art.

For this interpretation of the brief, I crafted a brand through the lens of a fine artist. Inspired by Henri Matisse’s Femme au chapeau (Woman with a Hat) c. 1905, patterned ceramic decorations, and traditional tile art. The brand identity emphasizes the beauty in form and artistry.

Are you hungry for some Venezuelan arepas 🫓 🇻🇪?

Enter Poco a Poco, a Venezuelan food truck focused on authentic street food and traditional flavors. Offering a vibrant selection of freshly made arepas and local dishes. The brand is positioned as welcoming, authentic, vibrant, and rustic with a feel-good atmosphere.

The kernel of my visual language was how food runs through Venezuelan culture: When the kitchen becomes language. From detailed close-ups for background textures, enjoyment from eating food with your hands, and vibrant photography reminiscent of your abuela’s cooking. The marketing language references bilingual Venezuelan phrases that capture the joy of eating.

To make it feel authentic, I embraced imperfect edges, taking cues from handmade arepas sold on the streets. The logotype is hand-drawn, condensed, and interconnected to emulate a juicy, stuffed arepa, and the brandmark takes on the form of a characterized arepa for added personality. All of this is juxtaposed by a clean, yet playful sans serif that almost feels graffiti-like.

With arepas being made of maize, I created personality-filled iconography elevating the invisible ingredient alongside expressive side dishes and joyous reactions from food bien sabroso! Incorporating the eight stars and color palette from Venezuela’s flag to reinforce the cultural identity of its seven provinces and Guayana since 1817.

¡Buen Provecho!
