after a conversation I had a few days ago, I was thinking about how much the people we meet shape us

Growing as a person is, in so many ways, about the people we let into our lives & the time we share with them, and the things we discover about ourselves through being around them ♡

some people leave a very obvious mark on us, others change something so quietly that we only notice it much later or never :D

a new perspective, a little habit, a sentence someone once said, a way of seeing the world, or simply a feeling that stayed with us

I think we do the same for others, too, without even knowing it. We never really know what a conversation, an encounter, or simply spending time with someone might leave behind :)
we probably all carry little pieces of people we’ve met along the way

sometimes it really grounds me to look back and realize that some of the things I’m living now were once dreams, wishes, little goals I had for myself :)

and I really like having goals and things to work towards. It brings excitement for what’s next and keeps you moving.

but I also feel like I need the reminder sometimes to just pause and be like… wait, this is actually pretty cool ;) look at where you are 🧚‍♂️🐒✨
and I don’t even mean just the handstands or the things you can physically do... more the way you think, the things you value, the way you see yourself, the person you are. Things that maybe don’t feel like achievements anymore because they’ve just become part of your normal life

I would like to get a little better at appreciating that, while still being excited for whatever comes next 🤍
