Flowers, and learning the art of Ikebana.

Raw textures, imperfect shapes, old objects with a story to tell.

I love exploring as many ways of creating as I can, without necessarily needing to be good at them simply for the feeling of making something with my own hands.

I love quiet mornings and slow days. Silence. Turning a cup of tea into a ritual. Finding beauty in ordinary things and romanticizing the little moments that would otherwise go unnoticed.

I love creating a life that feels intentional, collecting antique treasures, travelling, discovering new crafts and traditions with, of course, a little fashion somewhere in between.

I guess this space is simply an extension of all of that.

A visual diary of the things I create, wear, discover, collect and find beautiful.

Japan Haul | Part 1 🇯🇵🤍
I think I might have gone a little overboard with the shopping in Japan… so much that this haul is going to need THREE parts. Oops.

But honestly, nothing brings me more joy than wandering through little secondhand shops, hunting for vintage treasures, and finding beautiful objects with a story to tell. I came home with so many things that make me happy just looking at them.

Japan really is a paradise for treasure hunting, and I could have spent hours getting lost in all those little shops ✨✨

Hope you enjoy this first part! Next up, more antiques, ceramics, and little treasures, before we get into all the vintage designer finds and fashion pieces in part three.

One of my favorite places in Kyoto, and one I knew I had to visit, Kawai Kanjirō’s House ⋆˚꩜｡

There is something special about this place. The quietness, the architecture, all the little objects and details left around the house… it felt so intimate, almost like stepping into someone’s world for a moment.

Kawai Kanjirō was one of Japan’s most influential ceramic artists, and this was once his actual home and studio. You can still see his work throughout the house, and at the back is this huge climbing kiln that is honestly so impressive to see

I’ve been drawn to the art of Ikebana for such a long time, but somehow never had the opportunity to make that curiosity feel more concrete to actually learn the foundations, understand the techniques, and go deeper into the practice.

Then, completely by chance, Eika started following me on Instagram. I discovered her work, her beautiful private studio in Taipei, and honestly, I took it as a sign. Taipei had been on my list for years, so I reached out to her… and a few weeks later, I was there 🥹

I couldn’t be more grateful that our paths crossed and that I got to learn the foundations and techniques of Ikebana from her. Eika and Shou are two incredibly talented and inspiring women, and I truly wish them all the success in the world 🤍

If Taipei is on your travel list, I couldn’t recommend enough having a look at their workshops or booking a private class with them. It was such a special experience and one of my favorite memories from this trip 🌼

And now, I’m just so happy to finally have the knowledge and foundations to keep exploring, experimenting and finding my own way through Ikebana

A free-style arrangement using a found natural vessel on the beach
There is something special about letting nature become your playground 🪵

On an almost empty black-sand beach, I found this piece of driftwood, carried, shaped and slowly carved by the sea.
Hundreds of tiny holes running through it, as if it had been left there waiting to be noticed. Waiting, perhaps, to shelter something small, to become useful again.

No vase, no structure, no need to alter what was already there. I simply let the flowers find their place within the spaces the ocean had created long before I arrived.

There is something deeply poetic to me about creating this way, working with what nature gives you rather than trying to control it 🪻
