visited some cool old military base today. always a great way to start the new decade.
especially after staying up till 7am working on stupid shit immediately after deciding that a better sleep schedule would be a good new year’s resolution. i don’t think i’ve been well rested this entire year so that’s nice.

this year was a pretty crazy year - i overloaded myself with classes, had an internship with google and lived in NYC for a summer. my mom moved across the country and i rented and moved into an actual house that i pay for. crazy. i’m like an adult now. 20 years old.

i didn’t even begin to know how to code a decade ago. crazy to think how much can change in that amount of time and it makes me excited for the next decade.

2018 was quite the damn year. i learned to play guitar, i went to like 7 concerts, i moshed for the first time, i blacked out for the first time, i had friends that were there for me and supported me, i “learned” quantum physics, i joined a cool research project, i made some decent money, and i had a lot of good times. along with that it’s also the year that my grandma died. it’s also the year where i left myself in a position to have my heart broken again. it’s the year that i spent 4 months away from home and spiraled so far down into my own depression that i really lost touch with myself and began to hurt other people along with me. i’m so sorry if you’re one of them. i’m sorry for who i was, who i have been. these past few years have been so fucking rough and i’ve grown so fucking much and i think i’m finally starting to get to the other side of it but who knows. and i need to thank @iameden for keeping me going; i honestly don’t know if i could have done it without him. 2018 was a rough year for a lot of people and i hope so much that 2019 will be better but no matter what we have to keep going and fighting for that brighter day. we have to keep running. tripping. falling. here are some pictures of cool people and drunk photos of myself. by @leonmontealegre
