A behind the scenes of how I made this animation using @marthaoliviaart illustrations, for the Lark Whiskey campaign created by @lovecreative_mcr . Collaborating with @_alexpotts_ who did the botanical cell animations.

If, like me, you’ve been horrified by what is happening in Iran and elsewhere right now, it’s worth remembering that the actions of world leaders affect all of us. I also have family living in Tehran, which makes this feel painfully close to home.

The atmosphere has no borders. What we put into the air today becomes the world we all breathe tomorrow

A few weeks ago we did the Robberg Nature trail here in the Western Cape. It took us 5.5 hours and we got to see lots of beautiful coastal scenes, seals and birds. It was a really hot day and we had to take care as @juliette_pixelated is 5 months pregnant with our baby 👶.

I am so grateful to have an adventurous partner who loves to go hiking and is patient with me when I’m watching birds with my binoculars or sketching Oyster Catches. I can’t wait for more adventures in the future.

Happy Valentine’s Day x

On this trip I rushed my packing and completely forgot my watercolours… so here’s a digital postcard instead, straight from Muizenberg, Western Cape.

One of my favourite spots so far. Cruisy longboard waves, great little restaurants, friendly locals, cool shops, and that perfectly laid-back coastal energy 🌊✨

I created this using a mix of Procreate and Procreate Dreams. I’ve been getting more familiar with Dreams lately and I’m honestly loving it. Making short animations is way too much fun. The flipbook feature is such a win, and building up texture with different brushes feels almost like painting, just without the forgotten supplies 😉

Over the past couple of weeks I have been doing some screen prints at the @printclublondon This one was from last years trip to Seoul, Korea. It was from a series of postcards I had sent, this one went to @la_ginjol in Barcelona. As I didn’t keep one for myself, I decided to recreate it at the Printclub.

Shout out to @mattmundayillustrator for helping me do a two colour print.

Might pop these on my shop, who would buy one?

A few weeks ago, I teamed up with the design crew at @saboteur.studio on their project for Axa Insurance, backseat boss.

Animating the full case study was great, but my favourite part was bringing these characters to life, mixing cel and rigged animation techniques to give them personality and charm.

Just completed the two day induction workshop at the @printclublondon

Specials thanks to Kim for being so patient and responsive. Looking forward to doing some more prints in the future.

This first one was from some sketches I did in Costa Rica a few years back. Pura vida ✌️
