3 weeks china and forget. @nomadicgrappling @dima_murovanni leveled up once again the different approaches and ways to think about my grappling 🫡 by @leons.jj
Naga United Kingdom 🥇🥈 Signed up for NAGA last minute and came away with the belt in my division after two tough matches against the same opponent. In the absolute: Won first by footlock, second on points, and lost the final in a leg lock exchange. Grateful for the support @marvin_grosskrueger ✈️ @ippongear_official and my team @anacoretajiujitsu 💪 by @leons.jj
Had a great time here in Shanghai @jozefchenjj @rin_333_bjj Gym’s @nomadicgrappling . High-level instruction and a way of training and thinking about BJJ that I really appreciate. Super welcoming environment where everyone pushes each other to improve and truly understand grappling. Lucky that the @leglockcamp was happening as well—such a blast. Got to learn high-level techniques and meet awesome people 🤝 Looking forward to coming back soon. Thanks to everyone who made this trip special. by @leons.jj
Before starting BJJ at 24, I tried stupid things to compensate for my lack of purpose in life. I always loved fighting and adrenaline, but once I fell in love with BJJ, I had nothing else in mind than doing my best and training as much as I can. Ten years passed by, traveling the world, thinking about the next competition, training camp, putting all the money I made into that. Barely enjoying or really being present in those moments made me reflect hard, and it is quite shocking how fast 10 years go by. Enjoying training and learning BJJ is what gave me purpose in the first place, so I want to do better — being able to actually live and practice in the moment, facing myself to accept what’s there in reality and life. by @leons.jj

Recap of my competitions this year: AJP Valencia Gi 🥇NoGi 🥈 AJP Continental Gi 🥉 NoGi 🥈 AJP Bologna Gi 🥇 Grappling Industries London NoGi 🥇 Grappling Industries Paris 🥇 and 🥉 Absolut IBJJF Torino NoGi 🥇 IBJJF Europeans NoGi ❌ Own reminder to myself, and sharing a bit: my body made it clear that training hard while ignoring life stress doesn’t work forever. It’s time to lower the volume and come back stronger. Motivation was never the issue — balance probably was. Thanks for all my training partners and people supporting me. Next year same goals for sure 💪 @anacoretajiujitsu @ippongear_official @zumubitalia @combat_sports_hygiene @paullindbergofficial @stleonardberlin @grapple.culture 📸 by @leons.jj

IBJJF Europeans 2025 First match went well; I felt confident and got the job done. The second one, after few seconds into the match even more so. Got my entries, found the submission chain, finished the ankle lock — he tapped. I felt relief. Then the ref tapped his ear, checked VAR… DQ. I know the rules. I know how to spin to the inside without reaping. Did I really mess it up? If the VAR said so, there’s no excuse. That’s the game. No pity, no sad story. I’m grateful — for months of preparation on the mat, especially for the people who helped me prepare, for my students and teammates who supported me through it all. My sponsors who made so many things possible! „The way is in training“ @anacoretajiujitsu @stleonardberlin @combat_sports_hygiene @ippongear_official @paullindbergofficial @zumubitalia @bjj.nutrition @grapple.culture + @borojitsu 📸 by @leons.jj
