Transition Zones is London Jazz ensemble S.O.L.L.’s striking third album for Alors, a psychedelic and exotic study of bass guitar, guitar and percussion. This time round they slows things right down to explore a more trippy side as well as to engage in some hypnotic reverse sound engineering. 10 years old!

This is JUNK. My first vinyl release from back in 2016. Supported by @playlisterfm and released on our label Cochabamba Records.

Some of the tracks are named after the biggest land fill sites in the world and I guess it’s dystopian instrumental electronica if I could invent a genre for it.

The cover art by Keith Coventry makes this silk screened limited edition worth way more than the asking price we sold it for back in 2016.

I found a handful on a recent visit to the Playlister London HQ.

DM me for details if you’d like to own one :) by @leonstenningmusic

‘This Life’ is officially out today!

I want to thank everyone who has been involved in this process.

From the record conception in Ghana with co producer @iamslimdrumz to every musician on the record and everyone who supported me helping it come to fruition.

It was really important to make a record about hope, about doing the right thing and about perseverance. This is my small contribution to that.

You can grab a copy on my Bandcamp, on the floor @northside_records and at record stores in Naarm and beyond over the coming days and weeks. If you support the record through my page or @northside_records $5 aud from each purchase will go to Seek Life Charity in Ghana, which does amazing work in caring for unhomed children.

I’m looking forward to performing ‘This Life’ live @quadraphonicclub on Nov 6, it’s honestly going to be a great show and celebration, and I can’t wait to share with you more music there.

Open your heart to being more compassionate to others on a global level, take your eyes out of the tunnel vision and look at how your impact affects others, you have the ability to shape a better world. by @leonstenningmusic

After 25 years abroad, Leon Stenning returns home.

Sydney-born guitarist and long-time London-based musician brings Hope’s Echo to life for the first time at Sydney Con Jazz Festival.

Groove-driven, highly melodic, and deeply improvised, this new work is shaped by decades of international collaboration.
Joined by Australian heavyweights Matt McMahon (fender rhodes and piano), Cameron Undy (basses), and Jamie Cameron (drums and cymbals), this is a true meeting of experience, instinct, and shared language.
